On the road to the Door of Life and Death, Ren Zu meets a muscular beastman with rock-like muscles and fangs sharper than blades, sprinting in the wilderness because he is afraid of his own shadow. Fear Gu comes out of that beastman’s heart, then lets him go. ^{ch. 944}

Spectral Soul Demon Venerable encounters a beastman Gu Immortal with dragon horns and a crocodile’s head. In history, beastmen were the most targeted during the era of the three Demon Venerables. This immortal invented food path, and as a child he was hunted by humans through frozen lands while escaping in hunger. ^{ch. 1014}

There were ten variant human races in the Gu world: hairy men, rockmen, snowmen, feathermen, mermen, inkmen, eggmen, beastmen, miniman, and mushroommen. Fang Yuan sets beastmen aside as extinct when choosing which race to raise. ^{ch. 1489}

According to human historical records, beastmen were extinct, but a lineage of beastman bloodline had survived, isolated from the world. Gu tribe is a beastman tribe of over ten thousand, living in a blessed land whose development spans over a million years. Most members have fish heads and human bodies, with gills, fin ears, and spiky fins on their backs; others have frog legs, seabird wings, turtle shells, or a ring of green seaweed on their heads. They originally lived in the sea. After the race went from domineering to weak and was wiped out on the mainland, only this small sea group was spared, and they did not dare to take any actions while humans dominated the world. ^{ch. 1851}

Gu tribe headquarters sit in Eastern Sea. Beastmen customs here are eating a lot, drinking a lot, bold to the point of being arrogant, and enjoying comfort to the point of being indulgent. Acceptance makes a guest honored with the best wine and food; without it, a person is despised, loathed, even hated. Historical records say that when the beastman race was at its height, tribes ate immortal materials casually. Food path was originally created by a beastman Gu Immortal, and this tribe developed a rather complete food path inheritance while hiding in the depths of Eastern Sea. Because of their nature, beastmen made killer move names extremely simple and crude, with practical effects. Chicken Dinner is one such food path move: swallowing an immortal chicken strengthens luck path in the aspect of survival while the meal digests. They also hold transformation path inheritances with the essence of the Olden Antiquity Era. ^{ch. 1871}

Every time Reckless Savage Demon Venerable killed a rank eight enemy, he would peel their skin and sew it onto a beast skin cape. That was a custom of the beastman race, which he had learned and imitated in his youth before he became a venerable. ^{ch. 1956}

Historical records say that in his old age Reckless Savage Demon Venerable used lingering beastmen to create Reckless Savage grotto-heaven and left Reckless Savage true inheritance inside it. His notes show he was using Tian Nan’s true inheritance to scheme against and make use of those beastmen’s methods instead. ^{ch. 2105}
