Light of the immemorial era

In The Legends of Ren Zu, Verdant Great Sun is told to use the light of glory of the rising sun so divine travel Gu can become fixed immortal travel Gu. That sunlight is the light of glory: it can shine on all living beings and penetrate the river of time. Divine travel Gu metamorphoses into fixed immortal travel Gu while Verdant Great Sun stays within the light of glory and flies toward the sun. ^{ch. 371}

The sunlight of the immemorial era is the light of glory. It could pierce through the nine heavens and spread warmth and grace to all living beings. After seven heavens fall, remaining sunlight no longer holds that glory and can pierce only white heaven. Extreme light Gu at rank five can burst out with the intense light of glory of the immemorial era: the light has no attack power, yet it passes through everything and shines on every corner of the world. ^{ch. 389}

Xiao Mang uses extreme light Gu so the glorious light of the immemorial era gathers into a light ball and infects the whole ball with the glory of the immemorial times. ^{ch. 397}

Refining Fixed Immortal Travel needs the light of glory of the immemorial era as a final condition alongside divine travel Gu, jade sky bamboo, and an eight-sided diamond star fragment. ^{ch. 404} Fang Yuan fulfills that light through Xiao Mang’s incomplete extreme light Gu, which can unleash the light of glory a limited number of times each month. The text also names the same condition the light of the immemorial era. ^{ch. 405}

No Fixed Immortal Travel recipe avoids the light of the immemorial era; recipes differ only in how much light they need. Light is hard to capture and store. ^{ch. 1039} A crucial immortal material, the light of the immemorial era, is needed to refine Fixed Immortal Travel; Fang Yuan has some clues yet knows hope is small while calamities press nearer. ^{ch. 1043} Wind Cloud Manor counts the light of the immemorial era among its treasures as a rare Gu refinement material, and Ying Wu Xie pays a raised price to obtain a portion that can last for nine refinement attempts. ^{ch. 1052 ch. 1060}

When Fang Yuan spends his third Lang Ya refinement opportunity, he skips Fixed Immortal Travel for Change Form Immortal Gu instead: the most crucial material, light of the immemorial era, is missing, he is not certain Fixed Immortal Travel was destroyed, and Change Form matters more to him at present. ^{ch. 1065} Ying Wu Xie’s side obtains the light of the immemorial era and starts gathering other immortal materials listed in the Gu recipe for Fixed Immortal Travel. ^{ch. 1066} Heavenly Court treats it as the crucial immortal material for refining Fixed Immortal Travel, noting that even their treasury can support only limited rank seven attempts. ^{ch. 1069}
