Extreme Light Gu

Extreme Light Gu is a rank five Gu held by Xiao Mang of Xiao clan. Once activated, it bursts out the light of glory of the immemorial era.

Fang Yuan recognizes Xiao Mang when the light path expert enters the San Cha mountain blessed land, and names Extreme Light Gu among Xiao Mang’s holdings. Ba Gui calls Xiao Mang a huge threat on that basis.^{ch. 389}

Effect

That light has no attack power of its own, but it can pass through everything and shine on every corner of the world. Even this blessed land cannot cut it off.^{ch. 389}

Incomplete Gu

Xiao Mang obtained it by robbing a tomb. It is incomplete. He can use it only three times every month; crossing that limit makes the Gu self-destruct.^{ch. 389} ^{ch. 405}

Use at San Cha Mountain

Xiao Mang activates Extreme Light Gu with Heaven’s Will Gu and Empty Fist Gu as the killer move Immemorial Light Fist, forming a mountain-sized fist of light that pierces the blessed land’s membrane and opens a passage to the outside world. Alone the Gu has no attacking power, but with those other two Gu it can form an intense attack.^{ch. 389}

First cast

At San Cha Mountain, when dog emperor Ying Ming blocks him from the bronze hall, Xiao Mang flies out through a hole in the blessed land sky and raises his hands. He activates rank four Gather Light Gu; sunlight gathers on his palms into a huge, flawless ball of light. He then activates Extreme Light Gu so the glory of the immemorial era gathers into that ball and infects it. River Under the Sun Gu, at rank five, explodes the ball into an overwhelming water of light, each drop like a fragment of the sun, as the killer move Torrential Light Stream. That river pours into the blessed land, shatters the purple barrier over the bronze hall, and continues into the hall.^{ch. 397}

Loss after Xiao Mang’s death

Fang Yuan later recalls that the light of the immemorial era used when he refined Fixed Immortal Travel came from Extreme Light Gu in Xiao Mang’s hands. Once Xiao Mang dies, Extreme Light Gu is destroyed as well. Fang Yuan considers searching Xiao clan graves for clues because that Gu was found in a graveyard.^{ch. 1039}
