White Silver Relic Gu

The White Silver Relic Gu is a rank three Relic Gu. One use raises a rank three Gu Master's cultivation by a small realm, then the Gu is spent.

On the Jia clan caravan treehouse’s third floor on Qing Mao Mountain, Gu Yue Yao Ji names the glowing sphere for her granddaughter as a white silver Relic Gu.^{ch. 111} Fang Yuan later buys and uses one of his own in Shang clan city.^{ch. 296} ^{ch. 312}

Appearance

It is a thumb-sized sphere that gives off a white silvery glow.^{ch. 111} Fang Yuan’s later copy looks like a finger-sized round pearl of white silver color.^{ch. 312} Later text again calls Relic Gu a sphere-shaped mortal Gu, thumb-sized, with an ordinary appearance.^{ch. 1796}

Form and rank

In the treehouse display it is a thumb-sized sphere held in a stump’s branches, giving off a white silvery glow.^{ch. 111} Fang Yuan’s later copy looks like a finger-sized round pearl of white silver color.^{ch. 312}

It is the rank three member of the Relic Gu series: rank one green copper, rank two red steel, rank three white silver (also called Silver Relic Gu in Chapter 111), and rank four yellow golden Relic Gu.^{ch. 111}

Effect

It can be used only once. That single use instantly raises a rank three Gu Master’s cultivation by a small realm.^{ch. 111} Fang Yuan’s activation floods the aperture walls with light, and about four hours later he has moved from rank three upper stage to rank three peak stage. Relic Gu give a stable foundation and do not leave side-effects.^{ch. 312}

On Qing Mao Mountain, Yao Ji expects a final price of at least fifty thousand primeval stones for the caravan copy shown at thirty thousand.^{ch. 111} Market talk elsewhere places white silver Relic Gu beside cheaper green copper and red steel Relic Gu and a much dearer yellow gold Relic Gu. Relic Gu are natural Gu and cannot be refined by Gu Masters.^{ch. 278} No cited chapter names a food for white silver Relic Gu.

Fang Yuan’s use

In Shang clan city he spends eighty-three thousand primeval stones in total for a white silver Relic Gu and a golden shield Gu, then holds the Relic Gu unused until he is ready.^{ch. 296} He activates it after reaching rank three upper stage so he can jump to rank three peak without repeating the stone aperture Gu method he used in his first life on Qing Mao Mountain.^{ch. 312}

Ma Hong Yun’s find

Fang Yuan recalls that after Ma Hong Yun left slave status and hunted poorly as a mortal, he smashed a rock in anger and found a white silver Relic Gu under it. He contributed the Gu to Ma tribe’s young tribe leader, who needed it, rewarded him, and gave him a chance to awaken and cultivate.^{ch. 441}

Series limits

Later text lists the mortal line from rank one to rank five as green copper, red steel, white silver, yellow gold, and purple crystal Relic Gu, and states that Relic Gu are mortal Gu with no rank six or higher Immortal Gu form. Green copper, red steel, and white silver Relic Gu are widely sold; yellow gold and purple crystal Relic Gu are tightly controlled in the mortal market.^{ch. 469}

Second aperture use

In treasure yellow heaven he buys green copper, red steel, white silver, and yellow gold Relic Gu to push a newly formed second aperture upward without ordinary cultivation time. After testing the white silver copy, he activates it and brings that second aperture to rank three peak stage.^{ch. 493}

Human path form

Later text calls Relic Gu a sphere-shaped mortal Gu, thumb-sized, with an ordinary appearance, and names rank three white silver Relic Gu in the same rank list, with mortal-market value around fifty thousand primeval stones. Relic Gu at rank one to three sell in batches in treasure yellow heaven. Relic Gu can only form naturally; Gu Immortals, including those of Lang Ya blessed land and Heavenly Court, cannot create them, because they are human path Gu worms that form more readily where many humans or variant humans live.^{ch. 1796}
