Inside the incomplete Profound Ice House, the group loses its composure as uncountable soul beasts swarm outside. Shark Demon calls for a count of hidden spots left. Bo Dan reports a hundred and seventy eight, his methods now covering the whole battlefield. Su Bai Man repeats the number, her expression ugly but her eyes bright with hope. ^{ch. 905}

The core Immortal Gu left are hardest of all to deduce. Inside the Immortal Gu House the immortals’ own methods are restricted: its offense, defense, movement, healing and investigation are fixed by its own Immortal Gu, leaving Gu Immortals inside only able to fuel it. ^{ch. 905}

Ancient battle formations are more flexible, though history deems them outdated, since their core is Gu Immortals inside, free to use personal killer moves. In an ancient battle formation the group might already have won. The Immortal Gu House restricts them instead. ^{ch. 905}

Xie Shu Fang offers to settle every remaining hidden Gu worm herself, at a price: the Immortal Gu inside as compensation. It reads as extortion, but with no other option they must rely on her. Shark Demon agrees after thought, limiting her to one Immortal Gu, since his and Su Bai Man’s own shaken foundations must absorb her price. The remaining Immortal Gu and mortal Gu retreat on their own. They fall at once into Eight Doors Labyrinth, where sky and ground run orange around eight huge doors. The labyrinth traps rather than kills, but is harder to deal with. It is famous for making trapped Gu Immortals lose their sense of direction. Each door admits only one life form and vanishes once entered, leaving eight chances to explore, alone. Rumor holds eight areas, each with eight doors and only one correct path, wrong ones loop back. Without a wisdom path Gu Immortal skilled at deduction, a lone fighter could be trapped inside until death. ^{ch. 905}

Though wisdom path, Xie Shu Fang is an investigator and attacker, not a deducer. Fang Yuan’s own inheritance, suited to deduction, is useless here without even basic star thought Immortal Gu. She reminds them this is only the first area and they can still retreat. Unlike the earlier battlefield, this one cannot be probed from outside, so investigating it means risking their lives. Shark Demon, hoping they are close to taking Yu Lu blessed land down, wisely chooses to retreat, and the group charges out with Profound Ice House. Unraveling fighting soul battlefield still costs them dearly, a pitiful victory, with Xie Shu Fang benefiting most of all. ^{ch. 905}
