Mortal Gu fly out and self-detonate, revealing hidden Gu. On average he is slightly slower than Fang Yuan at destroying those worms, though his wisdom path attainment is higher. Shark Demon’s ranking still places him below Xie Shu Fang. When Shark Demon introduced him, he said this guest cultivated wisdom path on the side, while Xie Shu Fang mainly cultivates wisdom path. ^{ch. 904}

Fang Yuan later judges that Lu Tan Xin and this demonic path Gu Immortal cannot match him in wisdom path methods, and that he himself falls far short of Xie Shu Fang. ^{ch. 905} Shark Demon reaches the same judgement about Big Bag Lu Tan Xin and this demonic path Gu Immortal while unraveling the battlefield killer move. ^{ch. 906}

During later fighting in Central Continent, the same demonic path Gu Immortal sneaks into Mountain Tortoise Valley, a Spirit Butterfly Valley resource point left with an earth path warning method. He wants the mountain tortoises, which he treats as rare in Eastern Sea and common in Southern Border and Central Continent. Ten fingers deduce until only nine finger phantoms remain.
