Chapter 889

Within freezing rain frozen earth, Fang Yuan makes continuous wisdom path deductions. The move draws on Yu Lu blessed land’s permanent dao marks rather than temporary ones, which makes it far harder to unravel. Shark Demon’s group came for the inheritance and resources inside, so rather than break it by force and ruin those dao marks at huge cost in immortal essence, they try to unravel it. ^{ch. 889}

Shark Demon, who already paid heavily for a rank seven wisdom path immortal zombie’s help, privately doubts Xing Xiang Zi is as capable as Tai Bai Yun Sheng claimed. The Gu Immortals raise defensive techniques, but Fang Yuan shields himself with his immortal killer move, star cloud grindstone, rather than Shark Demon’s barrier. A huge snow monster charges out of the storm. It stands about sixty feet, desolate beast level. Su Bai Man warns against killing the snow monsters outright, since they revive after death and persist. Shark Demon explains they vanish once the wave ends, reappearing only with the next freezing rain. Fang Yuan sends out a star snake rope, coiling around the Gu to drag it back for study. Before he can, the Gu self-detonates, and the rope returns empty. The freezing rain weakens sharply, since the mortal Gu is destroyed, and the other Gu Immortals take notice. ^{ch. 889}

Bo Dan is shocked: his search for flaws found nothing, since his wisdom path inheritance is low quality and incomplete. Fang Yuan’s inheritance is extraordinary: its last owner was Dong Fang Chang Fan, Northern Plains’s number one wisdom path Gu Immortal. Shark Demon praises the result. ^{ch. 889}
