Don't Be A Disturbance
The falling star hound crashes into the diamond bear with a loud boom. The bear is knocked back five or six steps and still stands firm like a wall, while the hound recoils a huge step with its head spinning. Killer moves fired from the grass cut its flesh open, but as an ancient desolate beast, even immature, it recovers fast and is only lightly hurt. Fang Yuan notes that the other hairy men have all learned immortal killer moves too, though mostly single-core ones at rank six level. ch. 1135
Twelfth Hair, filled with unprecedented determination, tells himself he cannot fail this time or Fang Yuan will see him as a joke. He directs his three beasts, the diamond bear holding the line while the tiger assists and the very weak yak interferes. Fang Yuan reads the fight as stagnant and guesses that three beasts are all Twelfth Hair has. Twelfth Hair then errs, and the diamond bear leaves a gap open. Furious, he moves the chestnut yak to fill it, but the hound slams the yak aside and breaks free into the grass. ch. 1135
The hairy men hiding there scream in terror. One, about to be struck, teleports to another’s side, saved by Sixth Hair. Sixth Hair needles him afterward not to embarrass the sect in front of the outsider. A split soul of Spectral Soul, his battle experience let him move before anyone else reacted. ch. 1135
Fang Yuan hides killing intent behind his gaze, since the sect’s information path alliance agreement bars its members from killing each other, and he means to shed that agreement in secret before he kills Sixth Hair. Sixth Hair, the last hidden Shadow Sect spy in Lang Ya blessed land, wants Fang Yuan’s body but lacks the strength to try for it. Both stay wary of each other. The same agreement obliges Fang Yuan to save Sixth Hair from fatal danger, unless Sixth Hair courts that danger to entrap him. ch. 1135
The battle resumes as the diamond bear and golden-white tiger redirect the loose hound and the chestnut yak rejoins to close the ring, but the hound breaks free again and tries to kill the hairy men hiding in the grass. They seem to share one immortal killer move teleporting the target to a comrade’s side, though Fang Yuan finds no flaw in it yet. He privately judges he could kill these hairy men easily himself. Only Sixth Hair’s hidden strength remains unknown. ch. 1135
Twelfth Hair grows more excited, the light of victory in his eyes. He tells himself he will truly defeat the falling star hound, silently taunting Fang Yuan that they will win without him. Loyal to Lang Ya Sect, he still resents Fang Yuan for watching passively during the sect’s earlier troubles, and this coming victory in front of him means everything. The falling star hound gradually cannot hold on, and the pressure on the hairy men lifts. The hairy men grow excited too, exhausted but shouting taunts at Fang Yuan and the dog alike. Fang Yuan only smiles plainly, as if he cannot hear them, and his calm disappoints and angers some of them. ch. 1135
Then everything changes: an eagle hound appears at the battlefield’s center, felling the diamond bear with one swipe, blinding the chestnut yak with one peck, and blasting the golden-white tiger back with a flap of its wings. The falling star hound curls up, whimpering in fear. Five more eagle hounds appear from the grass and three more in the sky, encircling the hairy men completely. Twelfth Hair’s pupils shrink to pin size, and in one instant he falls from triumphant victor to a man whose life is on the line. ch. 1135
Fang Yuan laughs inwardly, recognizing heaven’s will’s own ambush as incredible indeed. In the silence that follows he tells Twelfth Hair plainly that, since they have all failed, it is time for him to act as their earlier agreement promised. Twelfth Hair, enraged, screams back at him to open his eyes and see the danger they are in. Fang Yuan’s lips curl, and a strength path giant hand appears from nowhere and slams the nearest eagle hound to the ground, raising dust. The eagle hounds turn their attention to him at once, wary of this strong enemy. From inside the dust his voice carries out: he will accept this present, and everyone else should go far away and stop disturbing him. ch. 1135
