Star Fog Concealment

Fang Yuan tells Fairy Li Shan that Fairy Jiang Yu’s whereabouts are unknown and that taking dark limit Immortal Gu without a method like Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable’s would be very difficult, so this move from Dong Fang Chang Fan’s inheritance can conceal one from heavenly secrets and suits them. After hearing that activation needs two Immortal Gu as the core, Fairy Li Shan refuses: refining one Immortal Gu is already beyond them, and two is impossible. ^{ch. 822}

Star thought Immortal Gu is one of the two cores. The move has a similar effect to dark limit Immortal Gu: it defends against other people’s deductions and makes those deductions unclear and inaccurate regarding the truth. Fang Yuan has used many top tier mortal killer moves from the inheritance, but they cannot defend against deductions from people like Song Jia Dan; once he steps into Eastern Sea, those mortal Gu self-detonate and the defensive mortal killer moves collapse. If he later becomes a fugitive and many people deduce his whereabouts, he needs an immortal killer move against deductions. Mortal killer moves, even top tier and in any number, have no use: immortal and mortal differ in quality. ^{ch. 904}

On Ascending Heaven Plain, closer work toward an Immortal Gu House needs a wisdom path immortal killer move specialized for deductions, not a defensive method like this one or an attacking method like Myriad Star Fireflies. ^{ch. 986}

Back in Hu Immortal blessed land after leaving Ascending Heaven Plain and negotiating with Blazing Heaven Demoness, Fang Yuan uses the light of wisdom Gu to modify the original move and then activates it. Fog made of starlight comes from his second immortal aperture, shrouds his body, and blurs his facial features until others can see only a vague figure inside the fog. The original version has two core Immortal Gu, one of them star thought Immortal Gu. The modified version also has two core Immortal Gu: star thought Immortal Gu remains, and the other is replaced with Unravel Mystery. Familiar Face can disguise him but cannot block deductions; with this move he is much safer in Eastern Sea. ^{ch. 987}

The defense has limits. It only defends against deductions from others, not fire, wind, water, or physical punches and kicks. It uses two rank six Immortal Gu as the core. Against a rank seven wisdom path Gu Immortal’s deduction, it can defend for only a while before collapsing. It does not need constant activation: the star fog left after a cast is a layer of defense for as long as the fog remains. That fog is filled with tiny fragments of star path and wisdom path dao marks, and that jumbled mix blocks outside deductions. Even if Song Jia Dan deduces him, the fog can block for a while, alert him, and give him time to use Fixed Immortal Travel to hide in a blessed land; once he is inside a blessed land he is in another world, and even a rank eight wisdom path great expert cannot deduce him. After creating star soul battlefield, finishing this move eliminates two of Fang Yuan’s weaknesses. ^{ch. 987}

With this move protecting him, Fang Yuan judges that even wisdom path methods would take a long time to find out his identity, and that a large part of Familiar Face’s flaws are alleviated. If the Blazing Glory Lightning Brilliance immortal zombie makes deductions on him, he would sense the star fog thinning and activate the immortal killer move again to resist and conceal the truth, unless that zombie had very strong wisdom path methods that could defeat the move quickly.
