Blood Curtain Skyflower Gu

First gen Gu Yue activates Blood Curtain Skyflower Gu on Qing Mao Mountain while sealed and facing Lord Sky Crane. Gu Masters destroy the sealed Gu to fire it; a blood light blooms into a spherical shield that cuts Lord Sky Crane’s white eyebrows from Raise Eyebrows & Exhale Gu and traps some fighters inside while leaving others out. ^{ch. 194}

The chapter title prints Blood Curtain Skyflower. First gen Gu Yue names the Gu itself Blood Curtain Skyflower Gu when he teaches Lord Sky Crane what blocked the attack. ^{ch. 194}

Appearance

It is a scarlet Gu that looks like a translucent water sphere. ^{ch. 194}

Form and rank

Before activation the sealed Gu is scarlet and looks like a translucent water sphere. First gen Gu Yue calls it his personally fused Gu and states that it is rank five, with stronger defense than Water Curtain Skyflower Gu, a rank four Gu that can already block rank five attacks. Fang Yuan also reads the shield’s aura as rank five and notes that it resembles Water Curtain Skyflower Gu. ^{ch. 194}

An earlier chapter describes Water Curtain Skyflower Gu the same way: rank four, a giant spherical water shield strong enough to resist rank five attacks, immobile and unstoppable once raised, and sealed so even its owner cannot freely enter or exit. Forces often use that Gu to protect territory. ^{ch. 187}

Blood Curtain Skyflower Gu is expendable. It must be destroyed to be used, and once spent it is gone. Lord Sky Crane judges that its fusion price is extremely high and that it belongs to the one-time-use expendable category. ^{ch. 194 ch. 197}

Effect

Activation turns the Gu into a blood-red spherical shield about six mu across. The shield seals inside from outside and stays calm for those inside while Lord Sky Crane’s rank five assaults fail against it. ^{ch. 194}

Unlike Water Curtain Skyflower Gu, which bars even its owner from going in or out, Blood Curtain Skyflower Gu lets First gen Gu Yue leave. Once he exits he cannot re-enter unless he destroys the shield or waits for it to end. ^{ch. 194 ch. 197} After use the shield cannot be moved or turned off. It has a set duration and dissipates when that time runs out. ^{ch. 194 ch. 197}

First gen Gu Yue later treats the Gu as his greatest invention: superb defense, immobile once used, exit only for its master. ^{ch. 197}

Qing Mao Mountain use

Problem Nipped in the Bud Gu pulls the sealed Gu from First gen Gu Yue. Because it activates by being destroyed, clan Gu Masters smash the seal and the Gu together, and the blood shield rises at once. The shield frees Fang Yuan and others from the white eyebrows, stranding Lord Sky Crane outside with some Gu Masters while First gen Gu Yue, Fang Yuan, Bai Ning Bing, and others remain inside. ^{ch. 194}

First gen Gu Yue uses the sealed space to recover with primeval stones, then massacres Gu Yue clansmen inside the shield while Lord Sky Crane cannot intervene. ^{ch. 194}

Destruction

Bai Ning Bing’s glacier fills the blood shield from inside and bursts the Blood Curtain Skyflower with a soft sound, after which the cold air spreads beyond the former barrier. ^{ch. 195}

Qing Mao Mountain chapters describe a blood-colored rank five defense shield and call the Gu First gen Gu Yue’s personal fusion without naming a cultivation path for it.
