No chapter describes a look that marks an otherworldly demon on sight. Hei Lou Lan cannot see anything extraordinary about Zhao Lian Yun when Giant Sun’s will first names her one. ch. 614
Inside Eighty-Eight True Yang Building, Giant Sun’s will suddenly identifies Zhao Lian Yun as an otherworldly demon lurking beside Ma Hong Yun and moves to kill her. He explains that otherworldly demons are enemies of the entire world and a huge menace; if allowed to grow, the consequences are unthinkable, and in the past one otherworldly demon who grew successfully almost destroyed the five regions. His special will carries a resolve from Giant Sun Immortal Venerable’s main body: if it discovers an otherworldly demon, killing that otherworldly demon must take priority no matter the circumstances. ch. 614
Outside the five regions
Feng Jiu Ge states that Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable is not a person of the five regions but from the outside world, an otherworldly demon, and that inheritances he left require the inheritor to be an otherworldly demon. Otherworldly demons are rare but exist; because they come from beyond this world, worlds outside the five regions and nine heavens must exist, though no one has ventured out of the Gu world. Qin Bai Sheng adds that Giant Sun Immortal Venerable returned empty-handed and suffered a loss from a Thieving Heaven true inheritance even after becoming rank nine, which is why Giant Sun hates otherworldly demons so deeply. Feng Jiu Ge further cites a theory that because Thieving Heaven was an otherworldly demon, becoming a space path Gu Immortal produced foreign space path dao marks from another world. ch. 924
Ying Wu Xie privately thinks that heaven’s will cannot influence Fang Yuan’s thoughts as a complete otherworldly demon, but it can still influence others and create situations meant to eliminate him. ch. 1044
