Yan Huang, also called Immortal Yan Huang, is a fire and earth path Gu Immortal who once owned Moon Bowl.
Moon Bowl is a bowl-shaped valley that produces moon path Gu worms. When Wu clan expanded it wiped out the village inside that valley in order to take Moon Bowl, and the village’s own Gu Immortal was known as Immortal Yan Huang. Wu Yu Bo defeated him, and he fled after abandoning his home. Wu clan could not kill him outright under righteous path rules, so he hid, trained killer moves, lost a second duel, and was nearly assassinated before an unknown force saved him. That force is Xia clan. He joins as an external supreme elder and then challenges Wu Yu Bo with Moon Bowl as the stake. ch. 1303
Appearance
He looks like a middle-aged Gu Immortal with a mature expression and ordinary appearance. Seeing Wu Yu Bo, his eyes widen as if spewing fire. ch. 1303
Moon Bowl duel
He is a fire and earth path dual cultivator. Flames rise like dragons while rocks rumble, yet Wu Yu Bo’s water path drizzle dissolves those flames and rocks at first. When Wu Yu Bo’s signature killer move cages him, he breaks the cage by revealing countless Gu auras and bright light, and Wu Yu Bo, caught off guard by the breaking of his own move, is heavily injured on the spot. Immortal Yan Huang then gathers the lava underfoot into an immortal battlefield killer move that traps Wu Yu Bo. Fang Yuan breaks that battlefield as a divination tortoise and saves Wu Yu Bo. Xia Qing Cang stops Immortal Yan Huang from killing the fleeing enemy, reminding him he is Xia clan’s external supreme elder and must put clan benefit first now that Moon Bowl is won. ch. 1303
Aftermath
Wu Yu Bo’s loss and Immortal Yan Huang’s breakthrough of Wu Yu Bo’s signature killer move spread widely. Xia Qing Cang, who guarded him, used information path Immortal Gu to record the battle scene. Wu Yu Bo returns ashamed and declares secluded cultivation. ch. 1304
Real battle strength behind the win
In real battle strength Immortal Yan Huang is not Wu Yu Bo’s match. The win came from Xia clan cracking Wu Yu Bo’s signature killer move. Wu Yu Bo was targeted, his killer move was broken, and the intense backlash he suffered gave Immortal Yan Huang the battle. ch. 1309
Ownership note
Xia clan’s external supreme elder Immortal Yan Huang is still named as the one who once owned Moon Bowl before Wu clan took the territory. ch. 2100
