Xia Zhuo Mo

Xia Zhuo Mo and Xia Fei Kuai sense Fang Yuan at the apex of Frosty Peak and meet him in the sky for negotiation. Wu clan information paints him as a wisdom path Gu Immortal who considers many sides and likes to think deeply, a habit formed in childhood whenever an important situation arrives. He presents Xia clan’s four seasons tea, created by Xia clan’s first supreme elder. ^{ch. 1307}

As Fang Yuan keeps claiming he could not hear the historical explanation clearly, Xia Zhuo Mo warns Xia Fei Kuai not to grow angry, judging that the experienced Fang Yuan is deliberately provoking them to expose a flaw. He works out that Wu clan has no justification and sits in a passive spot, so Fang Yuan must keep wasting time until Wu clan is no longer short of manpower, and that Wu Zhen coming once the phoenix birds have laid their eggs would change the situation. He then says he has a plan, which Xia Fei Kuai carries out by challenging Fang Yuan to a spar on Xia clan’s behalf. ^{ch. 1308}

When Fang Yuan objects that two against one guarantees his loss, Xia Fei Kuai declares he will fight alone. Xia Zhuo Mo feels something amiss but goes along, confident in Xia Fei Kuai. He later rushes forward when the terms look unfair, and keeps thinking while Xia Fei Kuai answers more quickly. When Fang Yuan asks whether the two are sure, it is Xia Zhuo Mo rather than Xia Fei Kuai who answers, after privately reflecting that the clan sent him to advise and that a loss would fall on him too. ^{ch. 1309}

During Fang Yuan’s divination tortoise spar he sees that soaring essence strike fails on the hard shell, then realizes the small tortoise shells are thoughts. Xia Fei Kuai cultivates light path, not wisdom path, and only understands after Xia Zhuo Mo’s notice. Xia Fei Kuai calls him Little Mo and tells him to be quiet while trying to break the shell. ^{ch. 1310}

He keeps watching the thought shells proliferate and finally grasps that a Gu Immortal can store those thoughts back into the mind. When Xia Fei Kuai withdraws, Xia Zhuo Mo stays to clear the mess, including taking Gu Master Zhang away, and vows to return in five years. ^{ch. 1311}

Xia Zhuo Mo later sits among Xia clan Gu Immortals with Xia Qing Cang, Xia Fan, and others when Xia clan gathers. ^{ch. 1607}
