Huang Wei

He once competed with Wu Shuai to become Green Ant Ascetic’s disciple and failed. The dragonman race nurtured him intensely. Wu Shuai befriended him, saved his life by coincidence, and they became sworn brothers. ^{ch. 1835}

Beside Wu Shuai he transmits that he will defend and stall while they contest Censure Peak. Human Gu Immortals encircle them. After a difficult victory they obtain the peak, and he smiles bitterly about the heavy injuries. When Wu Shuai moves to kill a captive, Huang Wei shouts that he cannot. ^{ch. 1836}

He idolizes Wu Shuai, offers a toast after Song Tao Zi falls, and is choked with tears as he congratulates his brother that nobody will contest South Flower Island anymore. ^{ch. 1841}

Gu Liang urges Wu Shuai to create a situation that sacrifices Huang Wei to change Duke Long’s opinion, and says even the dead can be investigated, so Huang Wei must not know the plan. Wu Shuai and Gu Liang plot secretly and gather evidence to accuse him. ^{ch. 1843}

Wu Shuai later says Huang Wei and his father have both passed away. Seventh young master accuses Wu Shuai of killing his most loyal sworn brother to gain Heavenly Court’s trust. ^{ch. 1845}
