Green Ant Recruiting Disciple
In the Eastern Sea, Fang Yuan’s main body, hidden in the clouds, sees the clone’s luck transform again. Four phenomena for the four rank eight Gu Immortals guard the huge, dense black cloud luck beside the Cooking Luck Pot. Inside it the purple dragon converts traces of azure-purple luck, grows larger and stretches out to probe the cloud. The clone seems to have made a breakthrough and now holds the initiative. The main body cannot send luck path help, since the clone entered with body and soul and the dream realms isolate him completely. ch. 1829
The clone passed the second scene because his supposedly heartfelt declaration won his father’s recognition. In the study room he asks how the dragonman race can prosper. The father says many dragonman comrades share a long-held plan, but Wu Shuai cannot yet learn who they are, for their safety and his. As the plan’s resolution he writes the last word, Xia, completing Dragons Roam The World, then cuts the paper and hands his son the piece bearing Xia. He burns the rest, Long Xing Tian, to ashes. He says humanity is incredibly strong and the dragonman race is too weak, so it must endure below humans and accumulate foundation. It has members in all ten great ancient sects, and its closeness to humans is deepest because it was born from them. ch. 1829
He says he raised Wu Shuai from childhood as an enslavement path Gu Master and has now entered him in Green Ant Ascetic’s disciple recruitment ceremony. Fang Yuan recalls the Ascetic Wine Couple, a famous lone immortal couple of Central Continent whose man is Green Ant Ascetic and whose woman is Wine Fairy. Extremely close childhood friends, they thought each other dead until they met as Gu Immortals, and named themselves for his childhood ants and her wine selling. The father adds that Green Ant Ascetic lost a bet to Hong Zhen of the ten great ancient sects and agreed to recruit a disciple to inherit his legacy. The sects have no proper candidate, because Hong Zhen died from tribulation long ago. Becoming the only disciple would bring enslavement path methods and a relationship with the couple, two rank eight experts who would greatly help the race in future trouble. Fang Yuan agrees to work hard, and the ceremony is set for next month. ch. 1829
In the third scene, young geniuses of the ten great ancient sects gather before a thatched hut in a bamboo forest. Fang Yuan is slightly dazed to find himself among them, with most humans avoiding him and only two dragonman youngsters nearby. Zhang Shuang is losing a fight to a girl with yellow eyebrows and double pupils. The azure scaled Qing Suan says Zhang Shuang will lose, and the yellow scaled Huang Wei consoles Qing Suan. Both are eliminated, Qing Suan after three humans wore him down in succession before Tai Qin beat him easily. Wu Shuai alone remains for the finals. Huang Wei warns that Tai Qin has extraordinary strength, on par with Wu Shuai, and had mostly free passes until Zhang Shuang. ch. 1829
Fang Yuan judges Tai Qin a tough foe, an enslavement path master who mobilizes troops by instinct with outstanding effect. His own enslavement path attainment is only master, and he feels a little regret that the main body did not raise it. Zhang Shuang loses, and Tai Qin answers coldly while fixing her eyes on Fang Yuan. Fang Yuan walks past Zhang Shuang, who wants to encourage a fellow sect member but stays silent because Wu Shuai is a dragonman. The final round begins, and ants start to emerge from the ground. ch. 1829
