Renowned in the World, Promising a Future

In the Eastern Sea dream realm, Song Tao Zi, covered in injuries but strong in aura, firmly suppresses Wu Shuai, who seems to accept defeat. Song Tao Zi shouts that Wu Shuai failed to stop his killer move, and dense green light spreads from him. The watching Gu Immortals expect Wu Shuai to lose, since Song Tao Zi, a peak rank seven of Wind Cloud Manor, has battle strength definitely top three among Central Continent’s rank sevens. The battle was agreed with Wind Cloud Manor beforehand to decide who owns South Flower Island. The human Gu Immortals enjoy Wu Shuai’s misery, and Tai Qin weeps alone. ch. 1841

Wu Shuai smiles and says he has waited a long time for Song Tao Zi to use this move, green heaven pine wave. A huge castle appears from nowhere, and he goes inside and charges, sending it into the clouds. The onlookers recognize a rank seven Immortal Gu House, and since the announced battle lets each side use its own possessions, they judge it must be his. The palace is completely unaffected by the green light and carves out a pathway, so they conclude it can definitely resist rank eight existences. Song Tao Zi, furious and shocked, sees his proudest move treated as harmless air. ch. 1841

Wu Shuai, using Dragon Court, tells Song Tao Zi to kneel and beg for mercy and he will spare his life. Song Tao Zi refuses in a rage that a mere dragonman dares to humiliate him. The Wind Cloud Manor Gu Immortals shout for mercy, but Wu Shuai charges and crushes Song Tao Zi to death with Dragon Court. The onlookers cry out that a dragonman has killed a human and ask whether he is trying to cause a war. Wu Shuai answers from the floating palace that the life-and-death battle was announced to the world, and he challenges any objector to come out and die. The surroundings go silent. ch. 1841

At the celebratory banquet, Huang Wei toasts that nobody will contest South Flower Island anymore and that Wind Cloud Manor lost a powerful general. Wu Shuai declares Song Tao Zi a good opponent who deserves the glory of dying in heroic combat, and asks whether Wind Cloud Manor objects. Having lost South Flower Island, Wind Cloud Manor still sends an ordinary rank six envoy to show magnanimity, and he stands to say the manor will honor the agreement. Gu Liang, an Eastern Sea Gu Immortal, also toasts Wu Shuai. ch. 1841

Calligraphy Pavilion Lady, a rank eight, arrives with her daughter Shu Jiu Ling, Wu Shuai’s wife-in-name, and congratulates her son-in-law. Wu Shuai had invited her only to play the good son-in-law and had not expected her to come. Green Ant Ascetic, another rank eight and Wu Shuai’s master, arrives next, nods in praise and calls him quite energetic. Wu Shuai had not been in contact with him for decades. After the banquet Calligraphy Pavilion Lady leaves Shu Jiu Ling behind and tells the couple to stay together. At night Wu Shuai politely leaves Shu Jiu Ling in an empty room and goes to meet Tai Qin. ch. 1841

Tai Qin worries that Wind Cloud Manor, whose signature rank seven expert he killed, will not let this go. Wu Shuai agrees that it will not and says strength is all that matters. He reasons that Green Ant Ascetic and Calligraphy Pavilion Lady came because he owns Dragon Court, which lets him fight rank eight at rank seven. Wind Cloud Manor, he says, will definitely remember the grudge but has too many concerns about dealing with him. He vows to become a rank eight Gu Immortal and elevate Dragon Court to rank eight, and promises Tai Qin a proper status then, since Calligraphy Pavilion Lady is still a threat now. Tai Qin says she needs no status, and he answers that he wants many children with her, promising that day will come. ch. 1841
