With one punch, Reckless Savage Demon Venerable strips the sky bare. He calls it his nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-ninth ash owl, grows into a giant, and swallows it whole. ch. 597
The giant then turns and looks straight at Fang Yuan, who collapses and vomits blood, his soul shaking and his eyes weeping blood before he recovers. Mo Yao explains the inheritance carries a trace of Reckless Savage Demon Venerable’s will, one only a Gu Immortal could normally withstand, and that Giant Sun Immortal Venerable modified it afterward so a mortal could survive it. Fang Yuan retorts that Giant Sun’s mercy runs only to his own bloodline. ch. 597
Once Fang Yuan lets his mind enter fully, the inheritance reveals itself as primordial ash owl transformation, a transformation path killer move that lets a Gu Immortal turn into the owl for a huge boost in strength. Reckless Savage Demon Venerable is named as both the progenitor of strength path and the creator of transformation path, able to become countless fierce beasts and revive from a single drop of blood.
