Controlling Ants in Dream
The dragonman clone’s transforming of the dream realms draws the Four Dragon Generals, who see a genuine dragonman in body and soul and expose their identities. Fang Yuan gasps at the secret. He deduces that the four are rank eight Gu Immortals, subdued by Dragon Palace and made its servants. With the clone only rank seven and the main body unnoticed, Fang Yuan judges the rank eight generals unlikely to be lying. The generals grow more amicable when the clone returns to the dream realms. Granny Rong says soul and body must both enter, with the courage to risk everything, to become the Dragon Palace Lord. The clone nods and enters. A young dragon girl wakes him there, calling him Wu Shuai, and he finds he has rank three Gu Master cultivation. She brings him to a school field for the staked battle against Chen Fu and Zhang Shuang, where young humans face fewer, leaderless young dragonmen. An immortal formation covers the field, which tells him it is an important place in a sect. ch. 1827
Chen Fu stakes a rank five commanding leader Gu, shaped like a longhorn beetle with jade-like skin and red feelers more than ten times its body length. It is a human path mortal Gu with an enslavement path effect, once of huge fame and soon extinct. Rumor calls it potent and compatible with many Gu worms. The clone senses that passing this scene will give him its recipe. His purple dragon luck was eager because the dream realm is a huge fortuitous encounter. He offers Zhang Shuang the first move. Zhang Shuang scatters ten or so primeval stones, the formation swallows them, and army ants marked worker or soldier dig out of the ground. ch. 1827
Like dragonmen, army ants were made by Gu Immortal great experts, and largely solve enslavement path feeding troubles. The dragon girl warns that Zhang Shuang already holds more than ten worker ants and three soldier ants, and that losing costs Wu Shuai his vital Gu. Fang Yuan sits and uses a killer move that enslaves ants by sight with an incredible effect, and dozens gather at his side within a few breaths. They multiply until they outnumber Zhang Shuang’s many times over, and he concedes, pale. Zhang Shuang asks about the move, but Fang Yuan, who made it up casually, deflects and demands the bet. ch. 1827
Zhang Shuang places the commanding leader Gu in Fang Yuan’s hands and leaves. Chen Fu follows, vowing to challenge Wu Shuai again. The dragonman youths cheer, then freeze and call out Father. Fang Yuan turns to find a dragonman Gu Immortal staring darkly at him and asks in shock whether this is Duke Long. ch. 1827
