Chapter 1809

Rank seven earth vein Immortal Gu lets Fang Yuan construct the five regional limit formation. His time path clone smoothly completes the modification, adding earth vein Immortal Gu, Formation Spirit and Formation Flag. Formation Spirit helps him control the formation and notice disturbances. Formation Flag moves the formation between his immortal aperture and the outside. The year essence pool already holds over twenty immemorial year beasts of seven species, and since gathering every species depends on luck, he orders the hairy man Gu Immortals to begin refining luck path Immortal Gu. ^{ch. 1809}

Since only rank six Gu are refined, with no rank raised, a failure is a loss he can bear, being extremely wealthy, an enormous difference from his previous life. Though he does not practise time cutting edge, he gains insight that it erases the enemy while consuming the user. His pure dream clone’s soul is gradually transforming to match its body, and his dragonman clone has become a rank six dragonman Gu Immortal with a high grade blessed land. He spends more time on dream realms, many gained through transactions with Chi Qu You, and his soul enters a qi path dream realm. There he is Wei Yu Shu, a rank six Gu Immortal bleeding on a foggy hilltop, and three inkman Gu Immortals appear and kill him at once. His only Immortal Gu in the dream is rank six qi flow Gu, which has only support characteristics, beside many rank five qi path mortal Gu and three immortal materials: black iron qi, orchid vitality qi and moving dragon qi. The three kill him again, and he concludes he needs qi path immortal killer moves. Shadow Sect’s true inheritance, Lang Ya Sect’s collection and his refinement path attainment give him a rich foundation, and the light of wisdom soon yields a killer move. Lacking a qi flow Immortal Gu, he practises imitating its moves, and an armor killer move holds them off for a while before they kill him. He decides to prioritize escape over fighting. He heals with the immortal killer move Orchid Breath, which spends a small portion of orchid vitality qi and mostly recovers his injuries. In a mountain cave tunnel a new rank seven variant inkman Gu Immortal breaks all his bones and captures him. Capture without death counts as failure, so he judges it an escape dream realm. After many failures against five rank six and three rank seven inkman pursuers, he guesses the era is Olden Antiquity rather than Remote Antiquity. Using autumn scale concealment qi, the biggest help among several qi path immortal materials in the tunnel, he activates a killer move and passes the second stage. ^{ch. 1809}

In the third stage the dream realm runs by itself and he cannot interfere, so he watches the collapsed Wei Yu Shu face Princess Ye Tong, a rank eight female inkman immortal. She asks why he betrayed her after she bought him as a child and raised him in luxury into a Gu Immortal. He answers that he was still only her slave. Hearing of a Heavenly Court where humans live, he does not believe it but wants to believe. Her anger fades, yet she says she cannot pardon him again, since that would damage her race’s dignity. ^{ch. 1809}

She reveals that this place lies very close to Heavenly Court’s sphere of influence. He begs to see Heavenly Court once before dying, and she lets him crawl to the cave entrance on his bloodied hands. He sees only dense mist, and she says that even without mist Heavenly Court could not be seen from this barren land. He declares that he saw Heavenly Court and dies as his last breath is used up, and she stares toward Heavenly Court in silence with unprecedented solemnity. ^{ch. 1809}
