Feng Xian's Pursui
In Central Great Hall, Fairy Zi Wei is close to success in her deduction when the obstruction suddenly grows immensely, as if a wooden door had turned into an iron one. She concludes that Fang Yuan annexed Lang Ya blessed land, which now belongs to his sovereign immortal aperture, so deducing it means deducing him. Emperor yama carries rank nine killer move ghostly concealment from Thieving Heaven’s true inheritance, and it is a huge obstruction to her. Probing confirms her guess, and it seems he really annexed it. Her expression turns extremely grim as she finds she has underestimated him again, and annexing a rank seven blessed land would require grandmaster attainment. Not yet knowing the sovereign immortal aperture’s secret, she is secretly shocked that his aperture could annex so colossal a blessed land. ch. 1763
She angrily asks what the variant human Gu Immortals are doing, letting Fang Yuan swallow their foundation. Then she suspects that this is his scheme: he uses them against Heavenly Court and Heavenly Court to weaken them. Extremely gloomy, she judges that attacking Lang Ya blessed land only benefits him. She contacts Prince Feng Xian, already lurking in Loose Tail Ridge, and orders him to find Fang Yuan and stall him. He replies that he has found Fang Yuan already, and she warns him that no reinforcements will reach him soon. ch. 1763
Prince Feng Xian, a rank eight Gu Immortal, is careful against a rank seven one, as Heavenly Court now finds Fang Yuan extraordinary after the deaths of Thunder Ghost True Monarch and Chen Yi. The annexation exposed Fang Yuan’s main body, so Prince Feng Xian charges over and Fang Yuan flies on. Fang Yuan avoids the fight because the intense battle left him short of peak condition, and emperor yama is expending his soul foundation against Fairy Zi Wei’s deductions. He could fight Prince Feng Xian evenly even at rank seven. Yet Loose Tail Ridge is one of the ten great fierce areas of Northern Plains, fighting there would expose information, and Heavenly Court reinforcements might arrive during the fight. ch. 1763
Fang Yuan reaches a valley with a huge frosty lake and becomes extremely joyful. An immemorial frost dragon rises and warns both men away, but it is Fang Yuan’s target, since the land spirit, now under him, has given him the blessed land’s location and surrounding forces. Fang Yuan uses reverse flow protection seal to move into its frost breath and stays intact, while the breath interferes with Prince Feng Xian’s investigative killer move. Prince Feng Xian loses all trace of him among the falling ice shards and guesses that familiar face turned him into one. The dragon, thinking Fang Yuan dead and taking the rank eight aura of Prince Feng Xian for the true threat, attacks him, and he has to fight it intensely. ch. 1763
Prince Feng Xian spots an ice shard that sinks into the lake as an ancient frost dragon and turns on the lake. Fang Yuan dives to a huge family of frost dragons, which look at him curiously and do not attack. Prince Feng Xian’s attack is a completely different issue, and he incinerates the ancient frost dragons that go for him. A few turn ferocious and pester him while the rest flee, and Fang Yuan, overjoyed, mixes into the group. Prince Feng Xian loses Fang Yuan again and screams across the lake. The immemorial frost dragon, its descendants all brutally murdered by this human Gu Immortal, attacks him with overwhelming hatred and anger. ch. 1763
