Wu Yong's Loss
Tao Zhu’s will is frightened by the vicious methods of Fang Yuan, who severely injured a rank eight with one attack. The will dares not interfere. Even Tao Zhu’s main body would stay out of this conflict. ch. 1626
Nobody looks at the will, for Fang Yuan has captured the rank eight Jun Shen Guang before everyone, leaving the rank sevens with parched mouths and the rank eights dazed. The rank eights accepted his strength at rank seven. Now he is rank eight, with a seemingly soul path method that pairs well with lead soul into dream. Jun Shen Guang shows that they too could fall, yet forces that long prioritized themselves hesitate despite needing an alliance. ch. 1626
Fang Yuan alone does not hesitate, laughing as he charges at Wu Yong and calls the range Wu Yong’s graveyard. Chi Qu You, Shang Wu Jie and the other rank eights feel complicated, tense but slightly relieved. The alliance leader position is empty and Wu Yong is the clear first choice, and they do not know how he would treat the other clans. An injury to either benefits the other clans, who can plead that immemorial year beasts hinder them. Wu Yong curses them as useless, but his battle intent is stirred. ch. 1626
Wu Yong takes out Clear Jade Dripping Wind Tiny Bamboo Building and sends it at Fang Yuan. Fang Yuan swerves downward, since his own Immortal Gu House could not survive the collision, and the building misses. He taunts that he will kill the rank seven immortals instead, and Wu Yong turns the building to chase. Fang Yuan adds that Wu Yong will lack the face to lead the alliance after these deaths. The words stab deeply. Letting the rank sevens die while he sits safe would cost the reputation he besieged Fang Yuan to gain. ch. 1626
Fang Yuan reaches the rank seven immortals ahead of the building, and their morale dissipates until they only think of staying alive. A dense yellowish-brown radiance, a rank eight defensive killer move, appears beneath them and shields them. Lu Wei Yin appears and urges Fang Yuan to stop the cycle of murder. The building then collides with Fang Yuan’s back, and reverse flow protection seal reflects the attack, though the collision force still sends him flying. Wu Yong is relieved, but Lu Wei Yin warns that Fang Yuan planned this flight and is escaping. Fang Yuan charges into an immortal aperture on the battlefield, and its entrance closes. ch. 1626
Wu Yong turns ashen, certain that Fang Yuan has an escape route like Fixed Immortal Travel. His large team failed to harm Fang Yuan, and a Central Continent rank eight was captured before everyone. He asks why Lu Wei Yin did not stop Fang Yuan. Lu Wei Yin answers that he used all his strength protecting the Southern Border friends, who swarm him with gratitude. ch. 1626
Wu Yong can do nothing to Lu Wei Yin. Lu Wei Yin is Paradise Earth’s inheritor and Wu Yong’s greatest rival for the alliance leader position. He had left Lu Wei Yin out of the siege to gain prestige more easily, but Fang Yuan escaped, Wu Yong’s reputation suffered, and Lu Wei Yin’s rose. After a while he relaxes, smiles faintly, and thinks he lost this round entirely because of the two. ch. 1626
