The clan’s Gu Masters lead young Thieving Heaven to an underground cavern. The large cavern holds rank one Gu worms, and a small door leads to a cavern a third the size that holds rank two. He cannot ask the clan for help, since Sha Xiao would kill him the moment he revealed the plot. ch. 1509
Fang Yuan then takes control of young Thieving Heaven’s body. He judges Sha Xiao to be at least rank four, very likely rank five, and notes that Sha Xiao’s investigative methods stopped working in the heavily protected cavern. He knows almost all the Gu worms.
