Sneak Attack Gu is a rank two Gu refined in Thieving Heaven's dream realm. When activated it becomes a blue baby phantom that strikes from inside defenses at low primeval cost.
In Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable’s dream realm, Fang Yuan steers a failing refinement until a blue baby phantom enters young Thieving Heaven’s aperture and becomes a new rank two Gu worm. Sha Xiao names it sneak attack Gu from its power and effect. ch. 1500
Effect
On activation it turns into a blue baby phantom, exits the aperture, and charges the target. Against a stone stool it passes inside, returns, and leaves the stool whole until touch collapses it from within. Sha Xiao calls it top tier among rank two Gu for that internal strike and notes it spends only ten percent of rank one green copper primeval essence per use. Against rank one and rank two Gu Masters it is hard to dodge once distance closes; rank three Gu Masters might dodge with difficulty. ch. 1500
Competition use
Young Thieving Heaven uses it openly in the clan competition. Matches end quickly when the phantom strikes and the opponent faints, and the clan’s higher-ups covet mass production through the recipe more than the single worm. ch. 1501
Dream cavern and recipes
Fang Yuan later activates it in the dream cavern and judges it outstanding among rank two Gu, silent, and able to wreck walls without touching the cavern’s defenses. From the rank two recipe he can deduce rank one through rank five versions, and he notes he can push further toward sneak attack Immortal Gu recipes with the light of wisdom. ch. 1510
