Sandpit Gu is a rank one Gu left in young Thieving Heaven's aperture in Thieving Heaven's dream realm. When activated it instantly forms a pit in desert sand.
When Fang Yuan regains control of young Thieving Heaven against desert wolves, the aperture holds only a sandpit Gu, a chimney smoke Gu, and a clear water Gu. He activates sandpit Gu, spending five percent of his green copper primeval essence, and instantly forms a pit in the desert. A pursuing desert wolf steps into it, loses balance, and falls. ch. 1494
Clan competition duel
Sha Xiao’s transferred information includes the mortal killer move Blurred Grey Eyes, formed from sandpit Gu, chimney smoke Gu, and clear water Gu. It has eight steps. Successful activation puffs out white smoke that covers a target’s eyes in white ash and blinds them; washing with water makes the ash produce high heat that can burn the eyes and cause lasting blindness. Fang Yuan activates Blurred Grey Eyes in the clan competition and defeats his opponent with the ash and a kick. ch. 1496
Refinement material
During a failing Gu refinement, Fang Yuan throws sandpit Gu unactivated into a chosen spot in the fire as a Gu material. The fire burns it into powder, the attractive force drops sharply, and he escapes the blaze. Losing that precious sandpit Gu lowers young Thieving Heaven’s strength even though the body survives. Fang Yuan later summarizes the improvised sequence as sandpit powder consolidating the body before chimney smoke, clear water, and blood finish the work that yields sneak attack Gu. ch. 1500
