Clan-head talk during the Awakening Ceremony names him the only rank five master of later generations and states he perished together with the Flower Wine Monk without leaving descendants. ch. 4 Academy teaching places him as one of the clan’s two rank five masters, says he had remarkable talent and reached rank five, and tells the public story that he beat Flower Wine Monk, showed mercy, then died of wounds after a sneak attack while killing the Monk on the spot.
