White Bone recipe

Shang Ya Zi visits Fang Yuan directly, repeats the five hundred thousand ceiling, and threatens to tell a Tie clan search party where to find him unless he sells at that price. Wei Yang arrives with an invitation from Shang clan leader Shang Yan Fei before Shang Ya Zi can act on the threat, and the interruption leaves Shang Ya Zi afraid rather than angry. ^{ch. 263}

Fang Yuan raises his asking price by tens of thousands of primeval stones every day until it reaches eight hundred thousand, judging that Shang Ya Zi’s mounting anxiety over the young master evaluation will wear down his resistance faster than one large jump would. When Shang Ya Zi balks at the loss such a price would show in his accounts, Fang Yuan proposes selling the recipe openly for six hundred and fifty thousand while Shang Ya Zi privately hands over eight hundred thousand as an unrecorded gift. ^{ch. 267}

Shang Ya Zi instead demands a poison vow Gu to bind the deal, and the two settle on nine hundred thousand primeval stones for the recipe, on top of the forty thousand six hundred and twenty already agreed for the bone spear Gu, spiral bone spear Gu and bone spike Gu. He pays most of it through a primeval elder Gu mixing Shang clan trade credit with his own year of savings, still owing thirty thousand that he gathers three days later. Fang Yuan hands over the recipe once that balance arrives, and Shang Ya Zi finds it covers many further recipes that use bone spear Gu as their base. ^{ch. 268}
