Hair Armor is a mortal defensive killer move with rank five Indestructible Steel Mane Gu as its core. Several hundred assisting Gu grow hair into full-body armor that is cheap, efficient, and easy to replenish.
Against Plump Lady, Fang Yuan takes burial dragon sand coffin without injury while this defensive killer move runs on his immortal zombie body. Immortal zombie hair is already tough as steel, so the same cast outperforms ordinary Gu Immortal bodies. In the five regions chaotic war it is the most common defensive killer move of its kind. ch. 675
Limits
Immortal Gu Dark Arrow can pierce it in one hit, and his immortal zombie body alone cannot stop that Gu either. ch. 677 Full-body coverage leaves no gaps, so it cannot run together with the movement killer move Kong Sheng Tian, which needs open pores; the two are incompatible. ch. 679 With icy drill stardust, light illusion bat wings, and hair armor in normal form, his battle strength sits at the upper tier of rank six; the immortal killer move myriad self is what pushes him to peak rank six. ch. 681 During Hei Lou Lan’s flying blade noise tribulation the armor lasts about three breaths before breaking, and he has to cast again for a thin new layer. ch. 684 In a sea of snakes it keeps small snakes from boring into his stomach until he withdraws it to absorb them. ch. 688 Against mortal Gu Masters at an oasis, dozens of rank five Gu among several hundred keep regenerating the black spiked armor in a few breaths on his immortal zombie foundation. ch. 694

Armor upgrade
After days of testing he merges large numbers of rank five Golden Lion Fur Gu into the foundation, drops the spikes, turns the black iron look to bronze, doubles thickness, shapes the helmet as a roaring lion, and raises defense by about one hundred and fifty percent, or two hundred percent against metal path attacks. He names that version lion fur armor. Against a test press of icy drill stardust, the new armor only cracks where the old one shattered, and market value for lion fur armor rises to about four and a half immortal essence stones. ch. 712 ch. 732 Much later both hair armor and lion fur armor remain listed among defenses he once used, but as mortal killer moves he has already eliminated them. ch. 1700
