When Fang Yuan fights Plump Lady in Western Desert, he covers his immortal zombie body in black spiked armor from the defensive killer move hair armor. That move takes rank five indestructible steel mane Gu as its core, with several hundred assisting Gu worms. ^{ch. 675}

Use, value, and limits

Hair armor lets a Gu Immortal grow an absurd amount of hair over the body into armor. During the chaotic five regions war it is the most common defensive killer move: cheap and efficient, with strong defense, and the Gu worms used are easy to replenish if damaged. With Fang Yuan’s immortal zombie hair already tough as steel, the move’s effect is greater than on most ordinary Gu Immortal bodies, and with that armor he takes burial dragon sand coffin without injury. ^{ch. 675}

Plump Lady cannot recognize the move four hundred years early, but she rates it stronger than her martial sand armor and worth about two and a half immortal essence stones in treasure yellow heaven. ^{ch. 675} Later comparison still classes hair armor as a mortal killer move that Dark Arrow can pierce in one hit. ^{ch. 677}
