Lion Fur Armor is Fang Yuan's mortal defensive killer move, an improved hair armor that merges large numbers of Golden Lion Fur Gu into bronze lion-headed plate.
After days of testing in Hu Immortal blessed land, Fang Yuan merges large numbers of rank five golden lion fur Gu into the foundation of hair armor. The spikes go. Black iron luster turns bronze. Thickness roughly doubles. The helmet becomes a roaring lion’s head that leaves his face open. Defense rises by about one hundred and fifty percent, or two hundred percent against metal path attacks. ch. 712
He names the finished killer move lion fur armor. Against a test press of icy drill stardust that shattered the old hair armor, the new plate only cracks. With full maintenance through a large stardust lump, recovery is about twice the prior version, and he values the move at about four and a half immortal essence stones in treasure yellow heaven. ch. 712 That market valuation is repeated for lion fur armor as an improved form of hair armor. ch. 732
Complement with bat wings
Activated, the armor covers his body and even his wings in thick bronze plate, raising defense while slowing him. Lion fur armor and true solid bat wings do not complement perfectly: with the armor on, bat wing speed falls; without it, defense is lacking. Balancing three paths’ dao marks for a killer move at this complexity already sits at the limit of his master attainment in transformation path, so stacking true solid bat wings on top is beyond him then. ch. 733
Defense use
Against Qi Zai, lion fur armor covers Fang Yuan so that divine flick forces him to appear without harming him. He later blocks countless qi pellets head on with the same mortal killer move. The defense is strong enough to surprise Qi Zai, though qi blades later force him to add other methods after about two slashes. ch. 1040
Much later he still lists hair armor and lion fur armor among defensive methods he once used, and states that as mortal killer moves both were eliminated long ago. ch. 1700
