The blood lake is the underground body of blood water on Qing Mao Mountain. Fang Yuan traces the cave's glowing red soil to this lake.
Appearance
Fang Yuan presses a lump of soft red soil that emits a faint red light and crumbles in his hand. Qing Mao mountain’s soil is blue-black. He had thought the glowing red soil in the secret cave was arranged by Flower Wine Monk, but now it seemed that the source was this strange blood lake. ch. 183
The lake fills an underground cave whose walls are red soil. Hundreds of holes sit in the upper walls. Fang Yuan hangs on the soft red soil with his long hair and black gown, and against the lake he looks like a black ant. ch. 183
An undercurrent surges up from within the lake and gives off the enormous aura of rank five Gu. A long shadow appears in the water: an enormous python whose length surpasses forty meters and whose width is over six meters. It dwells in the depths and comes out after smelling flesh. Hundreds of black dots rise like a shoal of fish and fly out. They are blood colored bats with two long pointed ears and two pairs of wings, named rank three bladewing blood bat Gu. ch. 183
Debris from a ceiling collapse raises commotion in the lake waves. The entire space shakes, and the lake raises strong ripples. Fang Yuan eventually falls into the blood lake. ch. 184
Blood river python
A blood river python surfaces from the pond during Tie Xue Leng’s arrival. Fang Yuan recalls Gu Yue clan history: after the first generation clan leader created the village, a blood river python appeared as a huge threat, and legend says the first gen killed it. ch. 184
Whirlpool
A surge washes red soil from the walls back into the lake and clears a buried tunnel entrance. Black oil on the surface becomes a raging inferno on the bright red blood lake. The python dives deep; the blood water continuously nourishes it and rapidly heals its wounds. As long as the blood lake exists, it is like a cockroach that cannot be killed. ch. 185
A giant figure descends until its two feet touch the bottom and the water only reaches about its waist. Blood Frenzy Gu acts; dense bloody fog pervades the air and extinguishes the inferno on the lake. A whirlpool forms in the middle, then a huge red wave, and a vertical crimson coffin rises from within. ch. 185
First gen hold
In the blood lake, two strong foes oppose each other. Blood mist spews out, blood waves rage, and a large group of insects flies out from the lake. Troops of bladewing blood bats fly from the cave ceiling and emerge from the lake to join the attack. First gen Gu Yue has operated at that place for almost a thousand years and brings rank five Blood Guillotine out of the blood lake against Tie Xue Leng’s giant puppet. ch. 186
Surface exit
Fang Yuan uses Thousand Li Earthwolf Spider to leave, stopping to recover primeval essence and drilling through cave-ins, and gradually moves away from the blood lake graveyard toward the surface. ch. 188
