Black Heaven Temple

Old Man Tian Long is a supreme elder of Black Heaven Temple. The temple sends him for the secret purpose of countering the sound path Gu Immortal Feng Jiu Ge, and his strength is treated as similar to Old Lord Can Yang’s. ^{ch. 925}

In Feng Jiu Ge’s earlier life story, two Gu Immortals say Black Heaven Temple falsely accused them of seizing a rank seven Immortal Gu, and that as one of the ten great ancient sects its word is widely believed. The other nine ancient sects then express support for Black Heaven Temple and raise public pressure against Feng Jiu Ge. ^{ch. 1388}

Immortal Crane Sect and Black Heaven Temple are both named as part of Central Continent’s ten great ancient sects when Zhang Ji of Black Heaven Temple loses a competition to Old Lord Can Yang and floating life fire goes to Immortal Crane Sect. In overall strength Immortal Crane Sect is weaker than Black Heaven Temple, though Old Lord Can Yang outmatches Zhang Ji in Gu Immortal battle strength. ^{ch. 1756}

Intestinal Gorge, the northern entrance of Sorrowful Wind Mountain Range, is under Black Heaven Temple’s control as one of Central Continent’s ten great ancient sects. Heavenly Court orders the temple to send its Immortal Gu House along that gorge, strike if there is a chance, and abandon the gorge to preserve strength if the enemies are too strong. The temple goes on alert, mobilizes, and moves out. Sorrowful Wind Mountain Range sits in Black Heaven Temple territory, though the temple cares little about most of those barren mountains. ^{ch. 2039}

When Qi Sea Ancestor later asks Heavenly Court to have Black Heaven Temple patrol the periphery of a Spectral Soul battlefield because Sorrowful Wind Mountain Range is closest to the temple, Qin Ding Ling rejects the request and says Black Heaven Temple is not strong enough to participate, and that sending its Gu Immortals would only get them killed. ^{ch. 2043}
