In Central Continent Earth Abyss, Ying Wu Xie warns Hei Lou Lan and Tai Bai Yun Sheng when the Gu activates again inside a soul beast they are fighting. ch. 1039

When Ying Wu Xie, Hei Lou Lan, and Tai Bai Yun Sheng push that beast into danger, the Gu reacts and unleashes its power, buying the beast time and space to retaliate. They have to retreat. Their heads spin and their souls take heavy injury; Tai Bai Yun Sheng’s seven orifices bleed. Ying Wu Xie judges the host was once an ancient desolate soul beast that fell to desolate beast level after escaping an intense battle while the Gu kept activating. ch. 1039

Hei Lou Lan later praises the Gu formation used there: even though the soul beast had soul howl Immortal Gu, it still died in a short time. Ying Wu Xie, Tai Bai Yun Sheng, and Hei Lou Lan then search the ancient soul beast’s corpse for its soul core. ch. 1042

Against Fang Yuan, Ying Wu Xie uses an immortal killer move named Soul Howl. Its power covers the sky without hitting the other Gu Immortals beside him. Fang Yuan lacks a method to protect his soul against soul path Immortal Gu and is hit, but his soul foundation and guts Gu let him endure. ch. 1257 He uses that same named move again in a later clash, where phantoms of Fang Yuan burst under the howl. ch. 1259

Soul Howl is a soul path Immortal Gu, and the killer move burning soul bursting luck uses it. With Ying Wu Xie’s guidance, Fang Yuan succeeds on that move after failing twice. ch. 1405
