Inch of time Gu is a mortal time path Gu sold as an improved recipe set from rank one to rank five. It speeds other targets through time costs such as Gu refinement, and cannot be used on humans.
At Qin Bai Sheng’s Northern Plains auction, the third lot is a Medieval Antiquity Era set of improved Gu recipes named inch of time, covering rank one through rank five, with common refinement materials. Fang Yuan and Tai Bai Yun Sheng buy that set for seventy immortal essence stones. ch. 750
Appearance
Although it is a mortal Gu, it has an appearance like that of a gold bar. The higher the rank, the longer and thicker the gold bar. ch. 778
Effect
If a refinement would need three days and three nights, inch of time Gu can bring that growth and transformation forward so the Gu Master spends only a few short moments. The set names run from one inch of time at rank one to five inches of time at rank five. ch. 750

Fang Yuan later cites that improved mortal Gu recipe when he chooses Time Luck from Fairy Li Shan, planning to spend inch of time instead of lifespan when activating that Immortal Gu. Tai Bai Yun Sheng backs the plan as a time path Gu Immortal who expects the two time path Gu to coordinate. ch. 767

Although it is a mortal Gu, it looks like a gold bar. Higher rank makes that bar longer and thicker. When he activates Time Luck while spending inch of time Gu in place of lifespan, the gold mountain of inch of time vanishes in a few breaths, Time Luck stops without that support, and he gains almost no additional luck. ch. 778
Killer move acquisition
Inch of time and Time Luck can work together, but inch of time is expended too intensively. He wants an immortal killer move that lowers that expenditure, yet fails: he lacks enough thoughts, and his time path attainment is too low. Fairy Li Shan yields the immortal killer move time assist luck. ch. 815 He then no longer needs to deduce a pairing of Time Luck with inch of time for a temporary luck boost. ch. 817
