Fire Gu

As its fire spreads from the walking meat trees to the beasts, fire Gu grows tall and imposing, with ruthlessness and madness in its voice, and says one spark can set a whole forest burning. It calls Northern Dark Ice Soul its true friend, since the life forms of black heaven feared it but needed it against the dream realms and so imprisoned and starved it, while he alone helped it. When a dream realm swallows him, fire Gu pounces on the pack of dream realms, which shrink and melt in its light, and its sea of fire spreads over black heaven until the one holding him melts and he wakes. He asks why it woke him, and when it answers that dreams often run opposite to reality, he refuses to listen and cuts off its protest, so it falls silent and opens a path for him to run off in search of another dream realm. ^{ch. 724}

Spectral Soul Demon Venerable reaches the center of the sun, grabs fire Gu with his remaining tens of arms despite the intense flames, and his left head opens its mouth and devours it. He cries out in agony and his left head burns like a flame pillar, and without the support of fire Gu and of a second rank nine Immortal Gu, held by a legendary beast that flees the sun in fear, the sun explodes with a sound that spreads throughout the entire world. ^{ch. 2277}

Healing in Longevity Heaven, Giant Sun Immortal Venerable thinks that devouring the wild rank nine fire Gu was an extremely stupid move. He reasons that the insane Spectral Soul Demon Venerable has no way to refine fire Gu, and that fire Gu will fight desperately inside his body, expending his soul path dao marks. ^{ch. 2283} Once his injuries have healed, Giant Sun Immortal Venerable thinks that if Spectral Soul Demon Venerable keeps fighting fire Gu, the two would suffer heavy injuries and the venerables would fight over them again. ^{ch. 2287}

Bathed in fire and tortured for tens of days, Spectral Soul Demon Venerable has a body shrunk by thirty percent, only several hundred of his arms left and one of his three heads burned to ashes. Under the threat of survival, rank nine fire Gu erupts with its strongest attack, though its firepower has clearly fallen. Feng Jiu Ge, a rank eight Gu Immortal, says that if Spectral Soul Demon Venerable still had his senses he could definitely capture fire Gu, and that if he could isolate the natural essence of the world, fire Gu would not have such terrifying power. Three days after Feng Jiu Ge uses his immortal killer move Destiny Song, the red flames on Spectral Soul Demon Venerable turn to a grey-blue cold, he quiets and recuperates, and he does not refine the wild fire Gu while fire Gu stops attacking and resisting him. Inside his body an intricate relationship forms in which the two start helping each other. ^{ch. 2285} Fang Yuan takes the coexistence of Spectral Soul Demon Venerable and the wild fire Gu to be an effect of destiny song, and finds Feng Jiu Ge’s killer move stronger than before. ^{ch. 2286}

All three venerables retreat from it, and Fang Yuan’s killer move that deceives Spectral Soul Demon Venerable cannot deceive the Gu, because it is a Gu worm and not a soul beast. The blue fire spreads toward the heaven path dream realms, which shrink and burn, and most of the remaining dream realms are destroyed by fire Gu. Fang Yuan thinks that The Legends of Ren Zu stated that dream realms are restrained by fire Gu, and that it looks true. ^{ch. 2320}
