Heavenly Court talk names him Long Hair Ancestor’s wisdom path great grandmaster friend and the creator of the Prophecy of Three Venerables, with predictions treated as very accurate. ^{ch. 879} Under his inspection, Long Hair Ancestor finds that an incomplete immortal killer move from Old Immortal Kong Jue already has shocking value for relocating dead Gu Immortals’ immortal apertures. ^{ch. 901} Lang Ya land spirit’s origin as Long Hair Ancestor includes that friendship with the wisdom path Gu Immortal who made the prophecy. ^{ch. 979}

In Northern Plains, Inkman City survives among strong human forces in part because its founder, Immortal Yi Yan, paid a heavy price for an agreement with Giant Sun Immortal Venerable, and because the city later shows only one inkman Gu Immortal publicly. ^{ch. 1082} History treats Long Hair Ancestor and Immortal Yi Yan as bosom friends: Long Hair Ancestor leaves Lang Ya blessed land, Immortal Yi Yan founds Inkman City, and inkmen and hairy men from those places keep close relations. ^{ch. 1146} Mo Tan Sang later calls Yi Yan the legendary inkman Gu Immortal who created Inkman City. ^{ch. 1766}
