Chapter 1924

Eastern Sea’s eight Gu Immortals at Hidden Dragon Cave see stars covering the sky. Qing Yue An frowns at this unknown method of Heavenly Court, but Yang Zi He laughs that they will deal with it when it comes. ^{ch. 1924}

Yang Zi He urges them to enter the formation, destroy it and release Di Zang Sheng, but Song Qi Yuan wants to learn first what the method does, and the others hesitate again. Fang Yuan does not want the immortals waiting outside, and Granny Rong, one of his loyal Four Dragon Generals, asks whether they would wait three days if the method needs that long. Song Qi Yuan and the rest are uncertain. ^{ch. 1924}

Then more than ten starlight pillars shoot down and encircle all eight, and a Heavenly Court Gu Immortal appears where each pillar stood. A plump female immortal, Flesh Whip Immortal, charges like a meat cannonball, and the Eastern Sea immortals split up to dodge her. She chases them shouting vulgarities, though she is normally gentle and kind. When Qing Yue An turns to fight her, their killer moves collide in a thunderous explosion. ^{ch. 1924}

Qin Song, the most senior of them and above even Flesh Whip Immortal, orders the Central Continent immortals, among them Zhu Que Er and Vortex Space Boy, to reinforce her, and they all charge. With more people and excellent coordination, Heavenly Court forces the eight back time and again. Song Qi Yuan shouts that it is a trap and calls a retreat, and the other three righteous path members agree. The Four Dragon Generals stay silent and will not retreat without Fang Yuan’s orders. ^{ch. 1924}

Zhu Que Er’s flame blade slashes at Granny Rong, who does not dodge, and Zhang Yin blocks it with a shadow. Zhu Que Er woke much earlier than in the previous life, and she finds that Zhang Yin and Granny Rong, and also Yang Zi He and Shi Miao, trust each other completely and defend one another in danger. This lets them resist Heavenly Court’s Gu Immortals without losing. ^{ch. 1924}

Fairy Zi Wei, watching through starlight, wonders whether these four lone immortals share a strict alliance agreement, but sets the thought aside and sends orders to the cave. Old Man Bei Feng activates the cave’s formation, and both sides are swept into it as the flustered Eastern Sea immortals are blocked from leaving. The strain is beyond his limits and bloodies his nose, but he hopes this battle will get him recruited by Heavenly Court. The formation sends each Gu Immortal to a different area, so Fairy Zi Wei orders Heavenly Court’s immortals out and leaves the Eastern Sea immortals trapped. Qin Song leaves the cave to Old Man Bei Feng, who promises to guard it with his life. Starlight pillars then take all the Heavenly Court rank eights away. ^{ch. 1924}

Fang Di Chang leads the Western Desert immortals in their Immortal Gu Houses toward Emperor City, which Heavenly Court heavily guards. More than ten Heavenly Court Gu Immortals appear in starlight pillars, and Flesh Whip Immortal charges, but the Western Desert immortals feel very safe inside their houses. Fang Di Chang, a wisdom path Gu Immortal controlling the strongest house, Divine Bean Palace, leads the group and mobilizes several houses to resist. Heavenly Court dodges the charging houses, except Zhang Fei Xiong, a bear headed giant, and Flesh Whip Immortal, a walking meat tree whose whips force several rank seven houses to turn and escape. Fang Di Chang, his expression dark, judges the change too huge, since Zhang Fei Xiong, Wan Zi Hong and Zhu Que Er woke early and one killer move transports over ten rank eights at once. The move gives Heavenly Court the initiative to attack anywhere with its main forces, a very significant trump card. While the move stands, Heavenly Court can fight several battlefields at once. ^{ch. 1924}
