When Duke Long contends for Dragon Palace, he says Eastern Sea’s righteous path is finally making a move. Song Qi Yuan, Qing Yue An, Hua Cai Yun, and further righteous path rank eights appear in sequence, and Fang Yuan reads their arrival as proof that Eastern Sea’s righteous path has already discussed and decided. Narration adds that Eastern Sea is the richest of the five regions in resources and thus has the highest number of rank eight Gu Immortals. ^{ch. 1690}

At the qi sea banquet, speakers weigh whether Qi Sea Ancestor and Eastern Sea righteous path members will act against Drowning Uncle for openly selling a blood path Immortal Gu. ^{ch. 1885}

Wu Yong later calls Qi Sea Ancestor the undisputed leader of the current Eastern Sea righteous path, a qi path expert who stays in qi sea. ^{ch. 2000}
