World Savior Little Du
Sacred Eagle City, one of the main cities and much larger than the sub-city Mountain Cliff City, has become a swamp where yellow soil crocodiles hunt its people after a sudden attack by fierce beasts. Eagle Warrior, who defends it, lies heavily injured by an immemorial desolate eagle that circles the sky and dives at any warrior who appears. He struggles to rise but falls once more. Little Du catches him, calls him Uncle Eagle and offers to fight in his place. In the previous life, Fang Yuan first landed here as the bull demon when he attacked Beast Calamity grotto-heaven. ch. 1878
Eagle Warrior, the Sacred Eagle City Lord, will not let his people become food for the beasts. He orders Little Du, only a guest invited to tour the city and already wounded, to leave. Little Du refuses and wants to fight beside him. Moved, Eagle Warrior says Mountain Cliff City Lord took in a good disciple and asks him to wait for the Guild’s reinforcements, then retrieve his corpse and bury it in the garden. He pulls free of the weeping Little Du and charges the eagle as a heavily injured silver eagle. ch. 1878
Little Du, Fang Yuan’s clone, thinks his main body nurtured this eagle on purpose to deal with Eagle Warrior. After Eagle Warrior’s invitation, Little Du informed the main body and set up this trap. Beast Calamity’s true inheritance is split into several portions kept in the main cities, and the clone had no proper reason to approach them. Eagle Warrior handed him the chance. He does not know the calamity is due to himself. ch. 1878
Eagle Warrior quickly falls into disadvantage, and Little Du, as an arrowtail eagle, saves him as the eagle is about to peck him to death. Little Du vows to fight to the end, and the extremely weak Eagle Warrior reverts to human form in his claws. Little Du cannot match the eagle, but it is the main body’s pawn, so though often near death and constantly injured, he retreats each time. The wounds are genuine, and they completely move Eagle Warrior, who admires Little Du for saving him twice and fighting to the death for the city. Little Du, a new Gu Immortal, is the Combat Beast Guild’s youngest Combat Beast Warrior. The eagle smacks Little Du into the City Lord Manor. He falls through the floor into an underground altar, as planned. ch. 1878
Eagle Warrior, who had fainted earlier, wakes with Little Du beside him. The guild’s reinforcements have not come, and Little Du claims the eagle will not attack unless they transform. Yellow soil crocodiles, including two desolate beasts, have sealed every entrance, and without immortal beast forms Eagle Warrior and Little Du must retreat. Eagle Warrior concludes they can only wait and hopes the reinforcements arrive soon. Little Du thinks to himself that his plans will obstruct them. ch. 1878
Little Du asks about the altar and why the crocodiles wait outside without attacking. Eagle Warrior answers that the altar keeps them away and is extremely old. Legends say the first generation Combat Beast King arranged it and sealed a portion of his power inside, with more altars in the other main cities. Whoever collects all of these powers would obtain his strength, but Eagle Warrior calls this a likely false rumor, since countless people tried and nobody succeeded. ch. 1878
Little Du circles the altar and climbs it, but nothing happens. He kneels and prays loudly in tears for the first generation Combat Beast King to help. White light bursts from the altar and fuses into his body, and the indestructible altar shatters. Little Du says he has inherited the power of the first generation Combat Beast King. Eagle Warrior, extremely happy, says Little Du can inherit the remaining inheritances and become the future Combat Beast King, or rather the world’s savior, and hails him as World Savior Little Du. ch. 1878
