You Know Too Much

Fang Gong waits anxiously outside Divine Bean Palace, where he hides in case Suan Bu Jin, a wisdom path Gu Immortal, grows suspicious. Fang Di Chang’s scheme was run through with him beforehand. Third supreme elder Fang Hua Sheng assures him that Fang Di Chang is stronger than Suan Bu Jin and would definitely send word if anything went wrong. An explosion sounds inside the palace, and Fang Hua Sheng says the Immortal Gu House has detonated. The palace is open to them because Fang Di Chang, helped by Fang Yuan, refined part of it earlier. ch. 1860

They find Fang Di Chang heavily injured among the ruins of an Immortal Gu House. Fang Hua Sheng, the clan’s most proficient healer, revives him. Fang Di Chang says Suan Bu Jin hid his strength and struck back after the ambush, but Fang Gong cuts him off before he can speak of the palace. Fang Hua Sheng takes him to a secret room and treats him for a day and two nights. ch. 1860

Fang Hua Sheng reports to Fang Gong alone that Fang Di Chang’s blood, soul and body are authentic. Neither life tablet Gu nor soul lantern Gu has changed. The treatment held a secret task of inspection, which Fang Gong arranged at Fang Di Chang’s own request. Fang Gong remains somewhat worried, having seen neither Suan Bu Jin’s corpse nor his soul. Fang Hua Sheng guesses that a sudden surge of strength in Suan Bu Jin’s counterattack caused an explosion that destroyed his own corpse and soul. A day and a night after the report, the man in bed, Fang Yuan’s clone rather than Fang Di Chang, thinks he has deceived them. ch. 1860

Back in the house, the final method does nothing when Fang Di Chang activates it, twice. He accuses Fang Yuan of tampering with the Immortal Gu House, and Fang Yuan drops his panic completely and admits it. The house was built from his suggestions and corresponds to many parts of Divine Bean Palace. The clan’s formation and house infiltrated the palace, but the palace in turn infiltrated them, and Fang Yuan happens to be able to influence it. That makes the method fail. He is a grandmaster in both wisdom path and formation path, and he saw through the plot while the house was being built. ch. 1860

Fang Yuan then uses the immortal killer move karma divine tree, and green smoke forms a huge divine tree while the palace shakes. Fang Di Chang knows the move from fighting Chen Yi and believes Suan Bu Jin sided with Heavenly Court. He fears rank eight Gu Immortals hiding outside, and Fang Yuan leaves the misunderstanding alone. The palace slowly begins to accept Fang Yuan as the move’s owner. Fang Di Chang cannot budge, held by the house’s own power to imprison Gu Immortals. ch. 1860

Fang Di Chang admits defeat and demands death without fear. Fang Yuan refuses the bait, since a death would change the life tablet Gu. He will extract the soul, possess the body with a split soul, and let the clone replace Fang Di Chang to infiltrate the clan. Fang Di Chang replies that any difference in the soul will be exposed from the clan’s records, and that Fang Gong will charge in once the time limit passes. He urges Suan Bu Jin to cooperate, since Heavenly Court is using him. ch. 1860

Then Fang Di Chang realizes that this plan demands extraordinary soul path methods, and that Heavenly Court did not send him. Having karma divine tree proves nothing, since Fang Yuan himself publicized killing Chen Yi, and Fang Di Chang names him. Fang Yuan applauds him as a wisdom path great grandmaster, and Fang Di Chang offers cooperation. His face goes red as an invisible hand seems to choke him, because Fang Yuan’s influence on Divine Bean Palace reaches a qualitative change. Fang Yuan says it is a pity for him to die there, but he knows too much. Fang Di Chang’s eyes roll back and he dies. ch. 1860
