Heavenly Court Battlefield

Calamity Luck Altar charges along the left path, which Limitless Demon Venerable created a million years ago in the Olden Antiquity Era. Five Elements Grandmaster is deeply moved to learn that Heavenly Court’s buildings are all Immortal Gu Houses, mostly rank six. Flower Lady of the Northern Desolation Immortals explains that Heavenly Court, standing for three million years since the Remote Antiquity Era, remains the number one force despite damaged fate Gu. Its palaces, made by famous Remote Antiquity rank eights, were improved by later experts such as Statue Deity, Aunt Orchid, Yellow Court Monarch, Uncle Feng and Concubine Quan Miao. Each of its houses specializes in one aspect and is not as comprehensive as the houses outside. Five Elements Grandmaster understands that Heavenly Court, proud and invaded only by three Demon Venerables, never invested in comprehensive houses, and that this is its weakness. He laughs that even if he dies here, his life was not in vain. ch. 1711

The altar reaches Central Heaven Gate, which Five Elements Grandmaster takes for an information path Immortal Gu House. Bull Demon says Heavenly Court recruits only elites of the ten great ancient sects, who must pass the test at this gate. The gate stays shut and blocks the altar. In Central Great Hall, Duke Long judges the gate’s defenses weak and has Fairy Zi Wei pour out all three thousand six hundred golden pearls in storage, to stall until fate Gu is restored. The altar crashes into the gate and it begins to crack, but the pearls turn into huge armored soldiers that surround the altar and slash at it. Bull Demon names the pearls the signature killer move of Golden Pearl Immortal King, a metal path expert of the Medieval Antiquity Era. Flower Lady reads the pearls as stalling, Bull Demon calls it wise since only a few rank eight Gu Immortals are awake, and she urges using the time. ch. 1711

Bull Demon manipulates the altar, and auspicious clouds within a blinding light push all the soldiers away. The altar breaks through the gate with a bang. Longevity Heaven does not slaughter the soldiers or attack the heavily damaged gate, and only pushes forward, since the battle is decided by time. At Name Plaque Palace, the group finds it has flown high into the sky. Bing Sai Chuan explains that its name plaques each hold a person’s name, and those people form Heavenly Court’s huge information network across the five regions. Five Elements Grandmaster sees that destroying it would expose the network, so Heavenly Court moved it away. Bing Sai Chuan had expected this and orders the advance onward. ch. 1711

Sun Palace is the third obstacle. Its light and heat melt the altar’s surface and char a vast number of mortal Gu, and killer moves melt before they land. It controls the illumination of all Heavenly Court with several light path rank eight Immortal Gu as its cores, and its defense is weak, even lower than Central Heaven Gate’s, yet the altar cannot approach. Bull Demon says it is strong outside and weak inside and offers to go, and Flower Lady, lying on his shoulder, joins him. Five Elements Grandmaster calls it too dangerous, but Bing Sai Chuan says speed is key and attacks to pave the way. ch. 1711

Fairy Zi Wei, in Central Great Hall, surges Sun Palace’s intensity as Bull Demon and Flower Lady shoot out. Flower Lady jumps and turns into a pink light that shields Bull Demon. Bull Demon cries out in pain and charges into Sun Palace without stopping. After ten breaths Sun Palace is destroyed, and the sky of Heavenly Court goes dark. Flower Lady is dead. ch. 1711

Bull Demon carries her corpse back to the altar, expressionless. The pair were usually inseparable and extremely close. She died with a smile on her face. Her corpse turns into scattering flower petals, leaving only a tiny delicate flower, which Bull Demon places on his head with care. Bull Demon says to continue, and the altar moves ahead under Bing Sai Chuan’s control. ch. 1711
