Soul Beast Summoning is Ying Wu Xie's soul path method. He calls three ancient soul beasts at once from the Door of Life and Death.
Inside the regional wall, after Fang Yuan summons a tiger year beast, Ying Wu Xie answers with an extremely similar method and uses Soul Beast Summoning. Spectral Soul Demon Venerable created soul path, so Shadow Sect is most proficient in it, and Hei Fan’s year beast method has a counterpart here. Ying Wu Xie holds that the soul beasts are not influenced by the regional wall because they come from the Door of Life and Death. ch. 1257
Fang Yuan also has Thieving Heaven Demon Venerable’s Ghostly Concealment on him, and that makes any soul beast unable to sense his existence. His sword dragon transformation has outstanding battle strength. He rushes forward, destroys one soul beast’s head, severs another’s thigh, and pierces the third with dragon breath. Soul beasts have no clear weak point, so they thin and turn increasingly transparent rather than falling at once. Ying Wu Xie watches and judges that he can use the killer move again and summon another three, because souls and soul beasts are found everywhere in the Door of Life and Death. ch. 1257
Year beast contrast
The tiger year beast Fang Yuan summoned is not loyal to him. Once it suffers severe injuries it retreats into the River of Time, and that cannot compare with Ying Wu Xie’s soul beast summoning. ch. 1259
Xia clan fight
Ying Wu Xie unleashes the immortal killer move again and three ancient soul beasts surround him. A Xia clan rank seven Gu Immortal, after an earlier flustered first encounter, lures the low intelligence beasts toward dream realms; once a soul enters a dream realm it is meat on the chopping block, and the summoned beasts are dealt with. Fang Yuan tells Ying Wu Xie to stop using soul beast summoning randomly: he has already used it three times, the effect is getting worse, and he is only increasing the risk and wasting immortal essence. ch. 1362
Fight to the death
The soul beast summoning Spectral Soul created can force any soul beast to fight to the death for the Gu Immortal, disregarding its own life. That differs from year beast summoning, whose beasts will not risk their lives and will retreat if injured or if the enemy is too strong. Year beast summoning was created by Hei Fan, who was far inferior to Spectral Soul Demon Venerable even though year beast summoning remains useful. ch. 1402
Soul path practice
After modifying his sword path killer moves, Fang Yuan starts to modify soul path killer moves from Spectral Soul’s true inheritance and practise them. Besides split soul, the set includes soul suppression, soul howl, soul explosion, devour soul, soul replacement, soul beast summoning, and others. He does not have many soul path Immortal Gu, so he can use these moves again but the effects are greatly lowered. ch. 1471
Battlefield summon
Fang Yuan wills the immortal killer move Soul Beast Summoning and summons five ancient soul beasts against Qin Bai He and You Chan. He does not use year beast summoning because soul beast summoning is superior: the ancient soul beasts are under his control and obedient, though battlefield suppression still makes them uncomfortable. He thinks that modifying a soul path battlefield killer move to use with soul beast summoning would give a great effect. ch. 1485
Yama child methods
While fighting Feng Jiu Ge, Fang Yuan notes that his yama child uses soul beast modification, soul beast summoning, and other methods within Spectral Soul true inheritance, with ghostly concealment at the core, which is why submission song cannot enslave those yama children. ch. 1577
