Dragon Horse Spirit is a killer move Snowy Mountain's Xue Song Zi prepared for Ma tribe. It sacrifices horses into mutated horse souls that fight and can self-destruct.
When Fang Yuan breaks through the pegasus group to reach Ma Zun, Ma Ying Jie blocks his uncle from casting and takes the killer move himself, warning that using it will make cultivation fall. He names Dragon Horse Spirit; Snowy Mountain’s demonic path Gu Immortal Xue Song Zi specially prepared this move for them. Horses beside him neigh, bleed, and die; rainbow-like horse souls with coral-like dragon horns rise from the corpses as mutated horse souls and charge. Ordinary physical attacks do not affect those souls, and their self-destruction matches the soul explosion of a shark fin wolf. ch. 542

Fang Yuan refuses a head-on clash and sends wolves to wear the souls down until they dim, disperse, or self-destruct. When Ma Zun retreats, Ma Ying Jie tries to intercept with remaining horse souls; Ma Zun then casts Dragon Horse Spirit himself and forms a tighter soul defense line than his nephew, hard to break even for a flying master. Maintaining it drains Ma Zun’s primeval essence; Fang Yuan splits the horse-soul line with wolf cones. ch. 542
