Milk

In the White Bone inheritance hall at Bai Gu mountain, a huge vat holds a milk-like white liquid connected to a spring below it. The spring is a milk spring, and its water tastes like milk, a clean sweet taste. It is a top tier beverage and extremely nutritious, and children grow better drinking it while the elderly keep a strong, healthy body. Milk spring is the specialty product of Bai Gu mountain, and in Fang Yuan’s previous life the Bai clan relocated there, unearthed five milk springs and made them a commercial product that drew traders and merchants. Bone Spear Gu and Spiral Bone Spear Gu both feed on milk, so they are kept inside this vat of milk; only a spring eye at the vat’s bottom sustains a stock this size, and raising so many of the Gu would need a milk spring of one’s own. ^{ch. 222}

After Bai Ning Bing kills the Gu left in the vat and the Bai clan reaches the hall, the vat holds nothing but the milk spring itself. ^{ch. 223}

Fang Yuan carries milk spring water inside his tusita flower, and pours it over his head to put out the fire that Bai Zhan Wen’s self-detonation set burning on him. ^{ch. 227}

Bai Ning Bing tells Fang Yuan he wasted a great deal of spring milk nurturing the iron bone Gu and jade bone Gu for days instead of using them. ^{ch. 232}

As the caravan travels on, the milk spring Fang Yuan carries is less than sufficient, so a lot of the Bone Spear Gu starve to death and he can only give up some of it to feed the ones that remain. ^{ch. 239}

At Huang Jin mountain Fang Yuan buys cow and goat milk from three to four Jin clansmen and does his best to feed the bone spear Gu, and even so two thirds of them are already dead of starvation. ^{ch. 242}
