Mature Bamboo

Mature Bamboo stands at rank seven. Under the light of wisdom Fang Yuan modifies Genesis Lotus Immortal Venerable’s karma divine tree into a rank six level killer move with rank seven mature bamboo Immortal Gu as its core and other rank six wood path Immortal Gu beside it; lacking the core rule path Immortal Gu Cause and the core wood path Immortal Gu Effect, he substitutes a vast number of mortal Gu, which makes the steps so complex that the move is slow to activate and unusable in real battle. His wood path attainment is still ordinary, short of master level, and mature bamboo Immortal Gu, though wood path, is a poor core for karma divine tree because bamboo is a grass rather than a tree, so the core is rank seven while the move only reaches rank six. ^{ch. 1781}

Using rank seven mature bamboo Immortal Gu as the core with a wisdom path effect, Fang Yuan instead gains a new rank seven wood path killer move, mature bamboo chest. Activating it makes jade light permeate from his chest; spending immortal essence to deduce a matter, a successful deduction shows as a dark green bamboo forest tattoo on his chest. The move excels at deducing a single matter from start to finish, but if the deduction fails, if he lacks immortal essence, or if he is distracted, mature bamboo chest fails and the Gu Immortal suffers backlash; the jade light and the half-completed tattoo fade, and both soul and body are injured, though the mind stays intact because the move is wood path rather than pure wisdom path. Until now, with rank seven mature bamboo Immortal Gu as the core and other rank six wood path Immortal Gu as supplements, Fang Yuan could barely activate karma divine tree, and its might fell to rank six level. Cause and Effect are still missing, but mature bamboo Immortal Gu has by then been replaced by a far more suitable wood path Immortal Gu, and karma divine tree, helped also by his risen wood path attainment, prepares quickly enough for real battle at rank seven might. ^{ch. 1859}
