Battlefield effects
Inside the formation, time path is restricted while other paths are amplified, so non time path Gu Immortals can fight outside Immortal Gu Houses without the formation breaking. Destroying it forces fighters such as Feng Jiu Ge and Xing Ye Wang back into their Immortal Gu Houses. ch. 1696 ch. 1697
The formation can float and slowly drift along the River of Time’s surface, but that drift is too slow to escape a live battle. ch. 1812
First collapse
Five Elements Grandmaster, using intel from Fang Yuan, modifies five elements profound light against this formation. Year End Gatehouse fires five colored light that melts layers of the formation and opens a huge hole; half the formation is destroyed and brought to the brink of collapse before rank seven controllers stabilize it with a shrinking hole still present. ch. 1695
Fang Yuan and Bing Sai Chuan then focus attacks on the formation. Fang Yuan shoots Luo Po seal into it, and the formation disintegrates piece by piece until about one third remains. ch. 1696 After Luo Po seal, the heavily damaged formation breaks in a chain of explosions. Most of its Immortal Gu are destroyed, and the Gu Immortals controlling it die one by one as river water restores the River of Time to normal. ch. 1697
River of Time work
Heavenly Court later says it has lost control over the River of Time and needs to lay down the river suppression lotus sealing formation there while building time path Immortal Gu Houses without regard for cost. ch. 1808 In one later battle the formation sits behind Heavenly Court with many Gu Immortals garrisoned on formation cores. Fang Yuan bombards it, kills many rank seven controllers, and destroys it completely, wasting that construction effort. ch. 1812
Duke Long later treats the river suppression lotus sealing formation as Heavenly Court’s greatest achievement in that search, still short of finding a Red Lotus stone island at that moment. When a confirmed Red Lotus stone island appears, Heavenly Court orders the formation set up quickly and calls for reinforcements against Fang Yuan. ch. 1880 ch. 1881
Construction with Suppression
While building around that stone island, Heavenly Court splits Gu Immortals into four groups. The first group handles the formation core. The second and third groups have similar strength. The fourth group is smaller and handles emergencies. Split apart, the formation has one hundred and thirty-eight sub formations. ch. 1882
The second group adds rank eight Immortal Gu Suppression onto three finished supplementary formations. Suppression is a rule path Immortal Gu and one of the formation’s core Immortal Gu; it must be the first rank eight Immortal Gu arranged there, after which later steps can proceed.
