Suppression Immortal Gu is a rank eight rule path Immortal Gu used in Heavenly Court's river suppression lotus sealing formation on the River of Time, later taken by Fang Yuan as a Calm and Steady core.
On the River of Time, Heavenly Court’s second work group adds Immortal Gu Suppression onto three finished supplementary formations while building the river suppression lotus sealing formation. ch. 1882
Formation use
The text names it a rule path Immortal Gu, and placing it on that time path secluded domain of heaven and earth is difficult. Immortal Gu Suppression, at rank eight, is one of the formation’s core Immortal Gu and must be the first rank eight Immortal Gu arranged there. The three layers of supplementary formation exist only to help it find the proper area; after it is set they are dismantled to make space for later steps such as the pale fire formation. ch. 1882
Obtained by Fang Yuan
Before the fate war, Fang Yuan fights Heavenly Court Gu Immortals on the River of Time. In one battle he destroys the river suppression lotus sealing formation and obtains suppression Gu from it. Suppression Gu is rank eight. ch. 2189
Calm and Steady core
Inside Limitless’ Crazed Demon formation, Fang Yuan uses the immortal killer move Calm and Steady. That move requires two main cores, calm Gu and suppression Gu. Fang Yuan has suppression Gu. With fortitude Gu substituted for missing calm Gu, the two rank eight cores strengthen the move beyond fortitude Gu alone. ch. 2189
