Shen Xiao

When Ren Xiu Ping returns to the starting island, Shen Xiao congratulates him on reaching the top of the merit board, a lead that lasts only until Chu Ying reappears and climbs back to first. ^{ch. 1894}

Shen Cong Sheng looks to Shen Xiao to negotiate after his own attempt fails, and Shen Xiao approaches Chu Ying respectfully, offering to pay any price he can afford to learn how Chu Ying earns so many merit points. Chu Ying asks for a Shen clan true inheritance or an Immortal Gu, looks through the incomplete inheritances Shen Cong Sheng offers, then names his own price, a portion of constant wave sound, a rank seven immortal material unique to Shen clan; once paid, he reveals only that his points came from a new set of missions, not how to unlock them. Shen Xiao’s anger shows through his praise of Chu Ying’s skill at business, since a single answer has earned Chu Ying a material unique to his clan. ^{ch. 1895}

After long searching, Shen Xiao finally finds the “good person” title that unlocks mid-sized missions and reports the discovery to Shen Cong Sheng, letting Shen clan’s Gu Immortals begin catching up on the merit board. ^{ch. 1895 ch. 1899}

When Chu Ying laughs off Shen Shang’s offer to join Shen clan, Shen Xiao and Shen Qi warn him not to be too arrogant and fly out to stand beside Shen Cong Sheng and Shen Shang. When Chu Ying goads Shen Shang into striking at him with a rank eight blast, Shen Xiao, mocking Chu Ying for courting death, stammers to a halt as Chu Ying appears unharmed on Myriad Year Flying Warship; tongue-tied, Shen Xiao asks who Chu Ying really is, and Chu Ying drops his disguise to show he is Fang Yuan. ^{ch. 1906}

When Fang Yuan asks who will join his large sized mission, Shen Xiao declines on behalf of Shen clan’s Gu Immortals, saying they would rather look around first. ^{ch. 1912}
