Chapter 1906

Shen Cong Sheng approaches the demonic immortal in agitation and greets him in a slightly trembling voice as Ancestor Shen Shang, whom he has finally found. Saving him was his true motive for coming. Shen Shang was Shen clan’s most outstanding Gu Immortal, and a wisdom path rank eight great expert once said that at rank six he had half of a venerable’s talent. The expert’s words meant he would lead the immortals of Eastern Sea in hundreds of years, once he reached rank eight. He pursued strength, fell into the demonic path and committed heinous deeds, while the clan punished him lightly and kept protecting him. Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable discovered this and suppressed him without exposing his identity, and Shen clan announced that a tribulation had killed him. ^{ch. 1906}

After Shen Cong Sheng captured Gu Yue Fang Zheng, Heavenly Court told him that Shen Shang was alive in Dragon Whale Paradise, in exchange for Fang Zheng. So Shen Cong Sheng released Fang Zheng at once, ignoring Qi Sea Ancestor, who was hinting that he wanted Fang Zheng. Shen clan searched in secret, and Ren Xiu Ping’s attack on Miao Ming Shen exposed clues leading to the blue dragon whale. Shen Cong Sheng forced Ren Xiu Ping to submit and followed Miao Ming Shen’s party into the paradise, where Shen Qi brought back word of regret crying sea after a few missions. He guessed that the demonic immortal there was Shen Shang, then heard that Chu Ying had accepted the mission to kill him. He lied to Fang Yuan about seeking response Gu and offered a large amount of immortal materials. Only at the last moment did he act, saving Shen Shang with one attack. ^{ch. 1906}

Miao Ming Shen’s group sinks in dismay, since Shen Shang is a rank eight whom Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable once had to suppress personally. Shen clan’s strength rises greatly, and it would be the only Eastern Sea righteous path super force with two rank eights. Shen Shang asks what year it is, and Shen Cong Sheng tells him that Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable died long ago. Shen Shang sighs deeply that Lord Paradise Earth died after all. He then thanks Fang Yuan for the escape and invites him to become Shen clan’s external supreme elder. ^{ch. 1906}

Shen clan wants Fang Yuan’s formation path grandmaster status, and he might break through to great grandmaster in his lifetime. Shen Cong Sheng admits to lying, saying that saving Shen Shang was extremely important to the clan. Fang Yuan answers that he understands and would have done the same. Then he laughs and says Shen clan is unqualified to recruit him. Shen Cong Sheng turns cold, and Shen Xiao and Shen Qi warn Chu Ying not to be arrogant, flying out to stand with Shen Cong Sheng and Shen Shang. Shen Shang, with killing intent, says that the Merit Obelisk restrains the others from fighting but not him, so he can attack all of them. ^{ch. 1906}

Fang Yuan laughs loudly and points at Shen Shang, provoking him. Shen Shang tells him to go and die, and a blood colored sound wave collapses a supplementary formation at once. The explosion raises a sea wave tens of feet tall, and Miao Ming Shen’s group flies into the sky as every supplementary formation is destroyed. They see the attack as definitely rank eight and give Chu Ying little chance of surviving, though they worry more about themselves. Shen Cong Sheng knows that sound path is not Shen Shang’s true strength, and Shen Xiao crows that Chu Ying truly wanted to die before he suddenly stammers. ^{ch. 1906}

When the waves fall, a silver-white ship appears with Chu Ying standing unharmed on its deck. Shen Shang gasps at a rank eight Immortal Gu House, and Ren Xiu Ping cries out that it is Myriad Year Flying Warship. Fang Yuan dispels his disguise, and Hua Die screams that it is Fang Yuan. Shen clan’s Gu Immortals grit their teeth, and Miao Ming Shen realizes that Chu Ying was a fake identity. ^{ch. 1906}

Shen Cong Sheng turns pale and sweats, now understanding Chu Ying’s disdain for Shen clan, and feels intense fear. Shen Shang asks who Fang Yuan is, confused because this Gu Immortal only has rank seven cultivation and merely changed his appearance. Fang Yuan has kept his rank eight aura concealed. Shen Cong Sheng recalls that Fang Yuan destroyed six Immortal Gu Houses that belonged to Heavenly Court and slaughtered a bunch of its Gu Immortals. Now that Shen clan has offended him, even a group of rank eights would not make Shen Cong Sheng feel safe. ^{ch. 1906}
