Chen Wan Yun is a female Gu Immortal sealed in Hei Fan grotto-heaven under Old Immortal Chen Chi, called Yun Er by her kin and an elder sister figure to Chen Le.
During succession talks she argues that if Hei Cheng cannot win half the votes, Hei Fan true inheritance should stay on Immortal Succession Mountain for their descendants, since they have guarded it for countless generations. She tells Chen Le not to forget that the main tribe enjoys freedom outside while their line remains trapped. Chen Chi answers her as Yun Er and rejects the plan. ch. 1123

Concealment within and death
Chen Le shows her the new move concealment within. Chen Wan Yun is overjoyed, teases that Hei Cheng motivated the hard work, and is about to use an investigative killer move when Fang Yuan arrives posing as Chen Chi. He asks Yun Er to carry flying sword Immortal Gu as a chip to recruit three immortals for Hei Cheng. She agrees, then is killed without defense as she leaves, following Chen Chi and Chen Li Zhi. Concealed Chen Le witnesses the murder and cries that ancestor killed sister Yun Er. ch. 1124
Mourning and confession
Chen Le mourns her and at first fears ancestor Chen Chi killed both Chen Wan Yun and Chen Li Zhi, never suspecting Fang Yuan. ch. 1125
Named among the dead
Fang Yuan tells Chen Le that Chen Chi, Chen Wan Yun, and Chen Li Zhi died in his hands, and that the rank seven Gu Immortals of their side are dead. ch. 1127
