Super Mission
Shen Shang welcomes the alliance of Shen clan and Fang Yuan, since no Shen clan member present is a formation path Gu Immortal and a seal means using Fang Yuan’s method. Shen Cong Sheng is silent at hearing Shen Shang ask to be sealed again, though he completely understands the reason. Fang Yuan turns a little grim, finding it hard to accept using the underwater formation’s Immortal Gu, which already belong to him, to seal Shen Shang. Shen Cong Sheng offers to negotiate and even trade Immortal Gu. Fang Yuan refuses, because the Merit Obelisk mission demands eliminating the demonic immortal in the formation, Shen Shang, which means it judges his problem too severe to treat. ch. 1914
Shen Shang answers that the Gu worms for the formation are all his own and takes out Heal Injury, a pure human path Immortal Gu he created. Fang Yuan is a little amazed that this silkworm shaped Gu is a genuine rank eight. With it as the core, Shen Shang developed the killer move saving dead healing injuries, which he says can bring a dead person back on the spot if the difficulty is not too high. A stream of bright yellow light that Shen Shang sends makes distant black fire dissipate quickly. Fang Yuan acknowledges that human path killer moves work well against black fire. Shen Cong Sheng rejoices that the earlier earth path formation struggled with the problem but human path Immortal Gu give greater hope. ch. 1914
Fang Yuan asks whether Shen Shang is a human path quasi-supreme grandmaster, and Shen Shang, astonished, confirms it. He has an incomplete formation chart that he seems to have created himself, but he cannot remember all of it. Each time he falls into madness part of his memory disappears. Such a formation needs wisdom path attainment to deduce the chart, formation path attainment to set it up, and human path attainment. Only Fang Yuan has all three, so Shen Shang asks for his help. Shen Cong Sheng promises that Shen clan will definitely do its best to satisfy any reward. ch. 1914
Fang Yuan sees a good opportunity, since working with Shen clan deepens his sway over the Eastern Sea Gu Immortal world and the situation of the whole world. Shen Shang might also deal with the human path killer moves of Heavenly Court, which Fang Yuan cannot answer. His conditions are very relaxed, with little demand for immortal materials and none for Immortal Gu. He asks only that Shen Cong Sheng and Shen Shang become enemies of Heavenly Court and stop it from repairing fate Gu. The super forces of the world already agree on that. ch. 1914
A few days later a new formation stands at the bottom of the sea, with Shen Cong Sheng controlling the main core and Fang Yuan assisting. Once Shen Shang is bound inside and the formation stops, no one can detect any black fire in his body. Shen Shang says the black fire appears only when he goes mad again, and he only shakes his head when Fang Yuan asks whether he truly remembers nothing about it. Shen Cong Sheng leaves the mission waiting, with a Shen clan member, sometimes himself, guarding the formation. That burden leaves Shen clan no match for Fang Yuan in the merit ranking. ch. 1914
Fang Yuan’s merit points climb from thousands to tens of thousands and beyond, and he also exchanges for titles. He buys no Immortal Gu, only rare immortal materials for the refinement of the hairy man Gu Immortals. When he makes a new breakthrough, the first super mission appears, asking him to clear the black fire from the heavenly spine. Fang Yuan is slightly startled that black fire remains. The earlier black fire missions only cleaned up Shen Shang’s mess, so Fang Yuan suspects this fire is not Shen Shang’s and teleports to the location through the Merit Obelisk. At the top of the clouds, he sees countless lumps of black fire burning on an extremely large scale, of which all the fire destroyed before was a minute fraction. He concludes it cannot have come from Shen Shang, so a hidden black fire problem already existed in Dragon Whale Paradise from the start. ch. 1914
